Where is Oldwhitelady?

I'm sorry I haven't posted anything, since June.  I was getting ready to move to the country.  It sure took a lot of time and effort...and money. 

My mobile home was moved, set up and tied down.  Now, I have to put the skirting back on.  So far, we've put almost all of the section that attaches to the trailer, that holds the skirting, back on.  Boy, was that a chore!  It was like a puzzle, finding all the screw holes that fit each piece.  Now, there's another piece that nails into the ground, that has to be placed, before skirting can be fitted.  Since the trailer is not at the same depth as before, we will have to cut skirting, and buy more.  Whew!  So far, I had the land cleared, a lagoon dug, the piers dug and poured, the mobile home moved, electric turned on, and Internet set up. 

I still don't have water.  I've checked with the water company, and it will cost a huge sum.  They marked it out a couple weeks ago, but I've heard nothing, since.  My cousin called me yesterday, and suggested a well.  I really don't want to go that route, because I think the water might be polluted, knowing the background of the acreage to the side of me.  I'm getting ready to call the water company, again, and find out if they can do it, and if so, when. 

The ground is all bare and muddy.  We've laid down some grass seed and a small amount of hay.  Hope it grows.  I also hope to be online, more, now that so much has been accomplished.

Friday Cat Blogging - Keeping Cool

Parker Dmitri got to get a shave and bath, while at her Primary Physician's office.  When she went in, she was full of real thick hair and large mats.  She hated getting the trim, but she loves it now.  She reminds me of a poodle, running to and fro.  No more hiding under the table for her!

This is Cat the cat.  We thought she was a male, when she was taken home.  Turns out, some orange cats are girls.  She's an outdoor/indoor cat, and unfortunately, she loves birds.  Hopefully, she loves mice as much as birds.

Friday Cat Blogging - Goodbye Mango

BERJAYA
April 15, 2013, I got up to give Mango his shot and his Fancy Feast.  He didn't come when I called.  When I found him, he couldn't get up.  I brought him into the kitchen, gave him his shot and his food.  He gobbled up his food.  I called the vet office, but the vet wouldn't be in until evening (turns out it was opening day for turkey season).  I set an appointment for the evening.

When I got home, I fed Mango some more Fancy Feast, then held him for a couple hours.  When it was time, I put him in a cat bed, and put him in the car.  We were almost there, when a truck decided to get to a gas station by going through my car - see picture below.  It took the police close to an hour to get there to take a report.  Luckily, Mango seemed to be close to unconscious.  When we got to the vet office, he verified that Mango's kidneys were shot.  Goodbye my sweet boy.  You were such a good kitty.

Mango may be thin, but he still gets around just fine. He really likes to eat, but he has no teeth. I put catfood in a dish, add water, and let it soften. He really enjoys that...not as much as Fancy Feast, but it's nice to have until his next shot.

Firday Cat Blogging - Jack Sprat and his wife

My fattest cat and my skinniest cat, both together. You know, I am sure glad the election is over, but would someone, please, tell these stupid cats they shouldn't be listening to Limbaugh. They figure that now Obama was re-elected, their checks will come rolling in.

Limbaugh is calling Obama Santa Claus. He may be right. At least, we know O is working on trying to get the USA straightened out. When that happens, we can declare Christmas has arrived! It took W eight years to get us in this mess, how come these people think it can be straightened out in four? And as far as all the money rolling out, do they think our soldiers should work for free? How about all those fire arms and artillary? I'm sure we had to pay a pretty penny for them.

I have to admit, I've been enjoying the comments on all the online articles. The people who voted for Romney are not happy! Hahahah. Loving it!! And yeah, it is fun to gloat.

Take a gander at Parker Dmitri's thumbnails. Have you ever seen anything like it? I wonder if cats can founder, like horses? The nails have fallen off in the past, and now they grew back. If I was a good kitty mommy, I would probably try to clip them. Parker Dmitri is not a good patient, though.
