Son of Total Information Awareness
Not wanting to detract from Eric Snowden’s awesome whistle-blowing, but the fact that the US and allies have been trolling our calls and credit card purchases for use in a massive data mining system wouldn’t be news to long-time followers of Needlenose. Remember disgraced Admiral Pointdexter and his pilot Total Information Awareness program? He was (again) pitched from government, but we predicted that it would just go undercover on a black budget. And we noted that there was some wild conspiracy talk a couple of years ago indicating that the program was alive and well and in full production under the name of Romas/COIN.
Kudos to Snowden for having the courage to dispel all doubts that somebody is in fact, watching you! The scary thing is that Progressive criticism is muted (given the Dem POTUS and Senate), and the Reactionaries are ideologically trapped between their so-called ‘defense’ of the Constitution versus their war-mongering, authoritarian natures, so their criticism is similarly muted.
