Yeah, I know I’ve been gone for a long time but I’m slowly working my way back into the politics game, mostly on Twitter at this point (@MoronPundit) but a recent development forces me to push something a bit more prominently.
Brett Kimberlin. Remember his name. He is the enemy.
There is so much to this story (which has been developing for quite a while without major coverage) that it is impossible for me to summarize. Suffice it to say that a convicted domestic terrorist now runs a liberal ‘activist’ 503 organization and uses it to threaten, purger and intimidate at the workplace of several bloggers and anyone else that they feel disagrees with them too loudly.
I’ll send you to the Malkin explanation which should lead you down a long and winding road of terror spanning years. Evil cannot survive in the sunlight so its time to throw back the curtains and incinerate this piece of shit and his acolytes.
So, a Pastor Charles Worley in North Carolina (yes, the same North Carolina that some pastor advised that parents beat their kids if they “act gay” the other week) declared in his sermon and church that dem durn queers should be thrown in concentration camps, and carnsarnit, he don’t care if he done hurt nobody’s feelins. HuffPo’s got a post which I’m not linking. because fuck HuffPo, and I’m seeing it a bit on Twitter, seems like if I posted about douche telling parents to beat their kids for “acting gay” I should probably make note of a guy who thinks we shouldbuild camps and extermeyate them goldanged queers!
Seriously, I’d tell him to heed Robert Downey Jr.’s advice in Tropic Thunder, but I don’t know that he’s capable, guy sounds like Larry the Cable Guy’s “special” cousin. Listen to this ignorant, stupid fuck,
So I guess my next question is, you can’t really evoke Godwin’s Law if you’ve actually advocated for finding, rounding up and exterminating people in camps, can you? Also, do they sing the Horst Wessel Lied instead of the Our Father at this church? I must say, for one with his views, not the greatest dresser, maybe he should get in touch with Hugo Boss…
Also, LOL, he actually thinks that’d work, what a fucking tard. I would’ve suggested he drinks Faygo too, but that’s gonna way too close to fag for Reichspastor Worley here, unless he’s another raging closet case who’ll get busted with a vial of meth and cock in his mouth within the year.
If I thought this numbnuts pastor posed a real threat, I’d take him a little more seriously. I don’t have to because there are millions of us, myself included, who will have no problem picking up a rifle to make sure such madness never occurs on American soil. I have a lot of friends and family the pastor apparently wants to exterminate. I have a slight problem with this.
If anyone wants to know why I oppose gun control and support the NRA, I give you Exhibit A.
As an aside, the pastor needs go to DC, visit the US Holocaust Memorial Museum, and see what he’s actually advocating for, and hopefully realize how fucking evil he’s being here. Doubly so since he has the luxury of walking the earth with survivors.
The Avengers is a solid summer blockbuster comic-book movie, and has the potential for X-Men style franchise strength. You’re not going to walk out of the theater with your mind blown, but you’ll have gotten your money’s worth.
I happened to see the 3D version, which also happens to be the first 3D feature I’ve taken in. Frankly, I could have done without the 3D. Yeah, it’s cool in parts, helping with the immersive experience, but in high-action scenes it’s a bit much to take in. Honestly, certain hand-to-hand combat scenes were a headache-inducing blur.
And while I’m yelling at those damned kids to get off my lawn, I think that low-pitched grumbly Batman-esque dialog should be banned from movies forever. Not only is it lame, but I can’t understand what the hell the characters are saying. Dear Hollywood: A big chunk of your target demographic has low grade hearing loss from years of headphone abuse.
Totally cool seeing Robin Scherbatsky, errr Cobie Smulders in the flick. She kind of had a younger Carrie-Anne Moss in The Matrix look working for her. Nice. Scarlett Johansson looks amazing, and Sam Jackson is once again his usual BAMF self.
I hadn’t seen Thor, but picked up pretty quickly on what was going on. The part of Loki was well-cast, IMO. The guy totally has crazy eyes. Mark Ruffalo’s portrayal of Bruce Banner was passable but not great. He’s the third Bruce Banner since 2003, and over all the years I just don’t think they’ve ever quite figured out how to make Banner work as a character. Hulk is kind of a big deal, but unlike Iron Man, Thor, and Cap, we’ve never seen this version of Bruce Banner before, so it was a little weird.
Sure, there are plot holes big enough to drive a truck through, and Loki’s staff and mind control seem derivative of the Stargate SG-1 “Ori” villains, and but that’s not really why we watch comic book flicks. The characters were generally believable and relatable despite their absurd conditions, the action was blam-tastic, and there was a general “good guys vs. bad guys” moral undertone to the whole thing, despite occasional moral ambiguity exhibited by individual characters.
I’m already planning on a Desantis Nemesis for pocket carry, since a lot of people seem to recommend them, anyone have any recommendations for IWB and OWB holsters? Even if it’s not for a wheelgun, narrowing things down to a few names for research’ll be handy. This’ll be for a 642, but if there’s a brand or style for an auto you use, lemme know, I can see if they do a decent one for J-frames.
