Europe's new export: jihad. Note that Reuters puts "terrorism" in sneer quotes when what should really be between quotation marks is "Belgian," since Ebrahim Bali and Ezzeddine Tuhairi almost certainly do not think of themselves as such. Nonetheless, the Belgian government, as full of witless Eurodhimmis as every other European government, is going to bat for them. (Reuters) - Two Belgian nationals could be deported from Yemen after being detained last month on suspicion of involvement in terrorism, a Yemeni security official and Belgium's Foreign Ministry said on Sunday.The Yemeni official identified the men as Ebrahim Bali and Ezzeddine Tuhairi, Belgians of Arab descent, and said they were detained on April 13 at Sanaa's airport as they tried to enter the country.
"They were arrested on suspicion of planned terrorist activities in Yemen. We are in a process of negotiation with the Belgian government. We expect them to be deported...within days," the official said.
A Belgian Foreign Ministry spokesman confirmed the two men were being held over suspected involvement in "terrorist" activity, and said Brussels was seeking consular access to them.
Yemen's branch of al Qaeda, which has plotted abortive overseas attacks from the country, is of great concern to Washington, which is waging an assassination campaign against alleged members of the group using drone and missile strikes....
I think it's perfectly possible, if not likely, that Reuters put the sneer quotes around terrorism due to the seeming absurdity of a country like Yemen - that rivals Saudi Arabia in fanaticism - calling anyone else terrorist. Of course, Europe is willing to put up w/ Jihadis that even countries like Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Syria find unacceptable. Right now, Syria is swarming w/ British Jihadis of Paki descent.
But hey, if these countries can do what European countries won't do, good for them. It doesn't stop me from wishing that those Muslim countries implode, but while they're at it, they might as well take a few foreign jihadis down w/ them.
"Belgians of Arab descent", my ass! Arabs living in Belgium and sponging off the Belgian taxpayers, yes. Also, there are lots of Arab countries; which one are they from? It's rather vague -- probably intentionally so on Reuters' part. Like saying that American police had arrested a Venezuelan "of European descent."
Tell Yemen to keep them...

Belgium should simply cancel their citizenship or else declare that, having been caught plotting jihad, they are now condemned to Exile For The Term of Your Natural Life. And refuse to take them back. Yemen can figure out what to do with them.
Alternatively, the moment they arrive in Belgium they could be transferred onto a plane and dropped off in Afghanistan. Or, better still, Libya or Somalia, where there are only their fellow Mohammedans to kill.
