The death threats Octomom received after news broke she had gone on welfare were so bad ... that a few security companies have reached out to her offer up free protection services for her and her family ... TMZ has learned.
As TMZ first reported, Octo had her car window smashed in with a handwritten note that said, "Leave California or you will die!" The threats started after TMZ reported Octo began receiving $2,000 a month from the State of California, which could only be used for food.
Sources close to Octo tell TMZ that numerous security companies have stepped up to offer her free protection. We're told they have offered 24/7 security guards, multiple people for the kids -- all for free until she moved to a new home, the location of which will be secret for as long as possible.
According to our sources, the companies told Octomom they were making the offer because they felt people had gone too far with their threatening behavior.
Marc Anthony held out hope for a reconciliation with Jennifer Lopez, but decided to file for divorce when she told him ... she's madly in love with BF Casper Smart ... TMZ has learned.
TMZ broke the story ... Marc filed for divorce Monday -- nine months after the couple announced they were splitting.
But sources extremely close to Marc tell us, he didn't make the decision on his own -- he had a heart-to-heart with J.Lo a few weeks back to see if she really, truly wanted to end the marriage.
We're told he said he wanted to give the marriage another try, but Jennifer confessed ... she was deeply in love with Casper ... and wanted to pursue that relationship.
We're told Marc was blindsided ... he had not idea things were so serious -- and he was hurt.
So that's why Marc filed divorce papers this week.
Things are all good between The Wanted and the boys from One Direction -- in fact, Nathan from The Wanted says he was even trading text messages with Liam from One Direction earlier in the day.
As TMZ first reported, the two boy bands had a run-in earlier this month when they were both booked in the same rehearsal space on the same day. We're told the boys from One Direction cut their rehearsal short because they didn't want to have a confrontation with The Wanted.
But last night in Hollywood, Nathan told us there is no reason for One Direction to be afraid of them. He told us, "I am pretty sure we don't intimate other teenage boys."

A gay rights group in California fully supports Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's decision to tie the knot ... even though Brangelia always swore they wouldn't get hitched until everyone had the right to marry.
As recently as last September, Brad told Ellen DeGeneres, "I’ve said that we would not be getting married until everyone in this country had the right to get married."
But Rebekah Orr, Communications Director for Equality California, says the group is totally behind the Brangelina marriage, even if the right to marry is still not enjoyed by everyone.
She tells us, "Marriage is something that says ‘we're a family’ in a way that nothing else can ... No one has to deny that for themselves or their family to prove they are an ally and supporter of equality."
Brad and Angelina finally announced yesterday they were getting married, even though they've been together for seven years and have six kids.
Krysten Ritter was involved in a nasty verbal clash with a male flight attendant Friday that left her fighting back tears ... witnesses aboard the flight tell TMZ.
According to the witnesses, Ritter was on a flight from NYC to LA that was experiencing severe turbulence. We're told at one point Ritter -- whose show "Don't Trust The B---- in Apt 23" premiered this week -- got up when the "fasten seatbelt" sign was on ... and she was immediately confronted by a male flight attendant.
Our sources say the flight attendant was "very aggressive" and yelled at her to sit back down. We're told Ritter was so distraught by the confrontation, she was on the verge of a tearfest.
According to our sources, the supervising flight attendant got wind of what went down and spoke with Krysten. We're told that flight attendant apologized and told Krysten she felt the male flight attendant was out of line and that disciplinary action would most likely be taken.

Mickey Rourke continues to be Team Gibson all the way in the Joe Eszterhas/Mel Gibson feud -- telling our photog that Joe is just upset that Mel didn't want to make a movie with him.
Rourke -- who would only talk to us for a second straight day if our camera guy bought him ice cream -- said that Eszterhas is just bringing up "old s**t" because he has a personal beef with Mel.
Rourke supports Mel even though he knows it's not the popular thing, telling us, "I know my agent is going to yell at me tomorrow for sticking up for Mel, but ... somebody has to."
Britney Spears' infamously ugly bridesmaid dress at her assistant's wedding last year did NOT help keep the marriage intact -- because TMZ has learned, the assistant's husband has filed for divorce.
Britney famously appeared at her assistant Brett Miller's wedding in January 2011 -- sporting a notoriously hideous blue bridesmaid dress (above) -- and now, Brett's husband, reality TV producer Frank Lionetti, has filed a petition to end the marriage ... citing "irreconcilable differences."
According to the docs, Brett and Frank were married on January 28, 2011 -- and separated on February 14, 2012. They have no children.
And there's this -- Frank wants spousal support and attorney's fees from his estranged wife (reminder: she's an assistant).
It's unclear if Britney's dress was directly involved in the split.
John Stamos had nothing to do with NBC editing out a gay joke using his name in a promo for "The Office" -- in fact, Stamos says he's ready to take a steam with Ed Helms any time he wants!
As TMZ first reported, NBC aired a promo for the once-funny show in which Andy (Ed Helms) attempts to convince his girlfriend he's actually gay, saying, "I had to imagine that I was in a steam room with John Stamos."
The promo was re-cut, removing Stamos' name. The joke remained in the actual show.
When we caught up with Stamos yesterday in Hollywood, he said he had no problem with the joke or the promo and actually found it quite funny.

Mark DeBarge (from DeBarge) was arrested for drug possession this week in a Hollywood hotel ... TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement sources tell us, Mark was in his hotel room with some woman early Wednesday morning -- when the woman's parole officer stopped by for a routine check-up.
We're told the officer searched the room and discovered narcotics -- it's unclear exactly what.
Once the drugs were found, we're told Mark and his female companion were placed under arrest. Mark was booked for narcotics possession and has since been released.
Just days before being sentenced to the crappiest place on earth, "Lean On Me" actor Jermaine Hopkins paid a visit to the most MAGICAL place on earth -- Disney World -- and it was all in an effort to spend some last-minute time with his family.
As we previously reported, Hopkins -- who starred as troubled youth Thomas Sams in the 1989 classic -- was arrested in Arizona back in December for buying 200 pounds of weed from an undercover cop.
Jermaine tells us, he was nervous about spending time in the clink ... so he consulted a pastor in Newark, New Jersey -- coincidentally, Whitney Houston's old pastor -- who advised Jermaine to spend quality time with his family while he still could.
Jermaine took the pastor's advice -- and immediately flew his family down to Orlando to Disney World this week.
Jermaine tells us, it was the first time he and his kids had ever been there -- adding, "We had a great time!"

Bee Gees legend Robin Gibb is in a coma and his family has gathered by his bedside amid fears he only has days to live ... this according to a new report.
Gibb has been battling colon and liver cancer and is now suffering from pneumonia, says The Sun.
The paper says the 62-year-old's family has gathered for a bedside vigil.
A family friend told the paper, "If there is anyone you would put money on pulling through such a dire situation, it would be Robin because he is a fighter. But this is a battle he will struggle to win."
Gibb has been battling cancer since 2010 and had surgery to treat a twisted bowel -- the condition that killed his twin brother Maurice nine years ago.
