FAIRNESS MR. PRESIDENT? AMERICA, YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO AFFORD A VACATION … BUT THAT DOES NOT STOP BARACK AND MICHELLE OBAMA.

President Barack Obama talks of class warfare,  the 1% vs. the 99%, and fairness. However, Michelle Obama’s ski trip to Aspen, CO marks the 16th Obama vacation. Just curious America, how many of you have taken 16 vacations in the last three years? President Obama, you like to talk of fairness … is it fair that you and yours take 16 vacations on the tax payers dime when most not only have not taken 16 vacations, many have not even taken 16 days. That is if they are lucky enough to be employed.Granted former President GWB took many vacation days as well’ however, they were mostly “staycations” on his ranch in Crawford, TX.

First lady Michelle Obama’s weekend jaunt to Aspen, Colorado for a President’s Day ski holiday with her daughters Sasha and Malia makes the 16th time members of the first family have gone on extended vacations during their three years in office.

But his have become more controversial because of the costs associated with moving the first family to a public vacation spot, unlike the Bushes to their remote ranch in Crawford, Texas. For example, the Hawaii Reporter said the first family’s 2011 Christmas vacation in Hawaii would exceed $1.5 million.

Critics and even some in his own party say the vacations present a bad image at a time when many Americans are struggling to get by during the recession. According to recent Harris poll, only three in 10 said they plan to take a vacation lasting longer than a week in the next six months, and that number has been dropping during the recession as people worry about the costs of vacations. Other polls have found that less than half of all Americans take all the vacation time they earn because they can’t afford trips.

Who in their right mind takes an Aspen vacation after already having just been on a  17 day trip to Hawaii that cost taxpayers $4 million. How do these people claim a populist campaign with a straight face? They talk of the evil 1% … if you have not figured it out, Barack and Michelle are the 1%. You might want to remember this lack of empathy in the 2012 Presidential election when casting your vote.

This was supposed to be a joke of sorts and slip of the tongue. Sorry Barack, we forgot to laugh. We the People tend to do this when the economy is in the tank and millions are without jobs. The real 99% can’t go on 17 day vacations to Hawaii.

However, that was not the eye opener that made America scratch their collective head. The “WTF” moment of complete ignorance came from Obama when he blamed job losses on technology. Huh? I guess Obama blames Al Gore, who claims to have invented the Internet, responsible for job loss.

“Layoffs too often became permanent, not part of the business cycle. And these changes didn’t just affect blue collar workers. If you were a bank teller or a phone operator or a travel agent, you saw many in your profession replaced by ATMs and the internet,” President Obama said at a campaign event in Kansas.

What king of complete and total bufoon is this guy? Seriously, and the Left called Bush stupid? Has Obama no understanding that making things more efficient that the economy becomes more productive? Does Obama not comprehend how many jobs have been created by the Internet? Does he them also blame Bill Gates and the late Steve Jobs for technology innovation? Are they to blame as well for the loss of jobs. How ignorant could one person really be? In this case because the individual is the president of the United Stated, how dangerous could one man possibly be?

Please rid the United States of this President in 2012 and help get America back to success and prosperity.

Obamanomics: Barack Obama’s Mouthpiece Jay Carney Says Economy “Vastly Improved” Since Obama Took Office

This Obama minion and tool actually has the audacity to say that the economy is vastly improved since Barack Obama took office. Really, who knew? How do these people make such comments and keep a straight face?

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney: “Well, two things remain uncontestably true. The economy is vastly improved from what it was when Barack Obama was sworn into office as president. We were in economic free-fall. There were predictions that we were headed to the second Great Depression. We were losing up to, over 700,000 jobs a month, we were contracting at greater than 6 percent — our economy was. So, the economy has improved. It has not improved enough.

“Well, there’s no question that we face headwinds, and the president has been very direct about that. And we need to do everything we can, across the front, to ensure we’re doing what we can to spur growth, spur job creation.”

HUH??? What alternate universe do these people live in? What does this Administration think they are going to campaign on in 2012? Does Obama actually think he is going to get away with “Hope & Change”, the economy is better and let his have another four years to have his policies work? Seriously, what planet are these people from?

VASTLY IMPROVED! As noted at Michelle Malkin.com, the unemployment, gas prices and other numbers hardly play into Obama’s narrative.

When Obama took office the unemployment rate was 7.2 percent — today, two and a half years later, it’s 9.2 percent. Gas was about $1.79 a gallon when Obama took office. Today it’s $3.68. There are around 13 million more people on food stamps today than there were in January of 2009.

Obama: “I Want To Live In A Society That Is Fair” … Who Decides What is Fair & What’s Envy?

Barack Obama said the following at a town hall event in Virginia earlier in the week, “I want to live in a society that’s fair. “Not just out of charitable reasons, but because it improves my life.” Really, fairness improves his life and who is it that determines what is fair? To claim one is for fairness and then pander to those that Obama thinks are being treated in an unfair manner, is simple class warfare. Nothing less.

Fairness? What does it really mean to live in a society that is fair? Does it mean that when one works harder than another, they are not supposed to be rewarded? In Obama’s world that is the case. Obama believes in taking from those who are the earners and giving it to those that expect a hand out. In Obamaland, as Le·gal In·sur·rec·tion states, “The age of Obama is the age of envy and jealousy couched as fairness. ”

How bad is Obama’s policies and view when even the socialists get in it Europe? From the UK Telegraph comes, “Welfare handouts aren’t fair – and the public knows it”.

As we report today, Policy Exchange – supposedly the Prime Minister’s favourite ideas outlet – has done a brave and unusual thing. Rather than polling the public just on policy and voting intention, it has put a far more abstract moral issue before them. It instructed the pollsters at YouGov to find out precisely what the public thought the most powerful term of approbation in the political lexicon – “fair” – actually amounted to.

The quite unequivocal reply that was received (with breathtakingly enormous majorities in some forms) came as no surprise to this column. To most voters, fairness does not mean an equal distribution of resources and wealth, or even a redistribution of these things according to need. It means, as the report’s title – “Just Deserts” – implies, that people get what they deserve. And what is deserved, the respondents made clear, refers to that which is achieved by effort, talent or dedication to duty: in other words, earned on merit.

How is it possible that the Brits get it and we in American do not? Have we become that envious and lazy of a nation? Be very careful America as to what a pandering, class warfare, socialist, desperate President passes off as fairness. Those who take risks and make the money, and who also pay the majority of the taxes, are the ones who employ people. Fairness is not taking what is not yours, its what is rightfully yours based upon merit, not what is given to you because you did nothing to earn it. Yet another wake up call from the UK, a poll showing that an overwhelming majority believe that people should work for their unemployment benefits. What a novel concept. Actually be productive rather than a coach potato collecting benefits. Let’s add drug testing to the collection of welfare as well. If an individual has to pass a drug test to get a job, then they should as well to get tax payer benefits.

Obama’s Muppet Diplomacy: Government to Fund $20 Million for Sesame Street in Pakistan

Do you still doubt that the US government ridiculously spends the tax payers dollars … Obama’s Muppet Diplomacy. So Muppets are supposed to woo Pakistan children away from al-Qaida.

Muslim Sesame Street … you heard that correct. The United States is to fund $20 million for a remake of Sesame Street in Pakistan. So now we are supposed to win the hearts and minds of the Pakistan people through Muppet’s? Because the
US civilian aid to Pakistan has recently tripled to $1.5 billion a year has been such a success. This is what is worth $20 million while American’s sacrifice?  It looks like Crazy Harry, seen below, will finally get a staring role on Pakistan Sesame Street. VIDEO.

Obama’s Trip to Williamsburg: With a Government Shut Down Hours Away … Does Obama Have the Audacity to Take Another Vacation

Are you serious, another Obama vacation? Barack Obama with yet another example of more Presidental skin in the game …

Whether the government is on the verge of shutting down or not, what is up with this President going on yet another vacation? As reported at the Daily Press,  President Obama and the First Family are planning to visit the Colonial Williamsburg. They are calling it a long planned family trip. And to make matters worse, on Thursday morning, the Federal Aviation Administration established a no-fly zone over Williamsburg that will be in place from Friday through Monday.

So the question remains, will Barack Obama have the audacity to take this vacation if the government shuts down? Also, the question needs to be asked why Obama and Michelle think its ok to continuously take vacations when most of America cannot afford to. Did Obama run for President so that he could receive the perks of the job? It is certainly looking that way. One would think that a President would have a bit more empathy for the plight of Americans and not continue to take a vacation or going golf at every opportunity. Not only have people questioned whether Obama has the ability to lead and is late to the show when dealing with important issues like Libya and the budget crisis resulting in a possible government shut down … Obama gives the perception that he is not engaged with the disastrous situation in America.

Just the other day Obama stated that he “remembered what it was like to pump gas”. Maybe Obama would also like to show “We the People” that he remembers what it is like to do without. As the Lonely Conservative opines, “while so many Americans suffer through this rotten economy and endure the inflation caused by his policies, we can still live vicariously through the Obama family. Lucky us”.  No wonder Obama wanted an answer on the budget battle this morning and the pending government shut down because he has a vacation planned for this weekend.

UPDATE I: Doug Ross has Obama’s calendar and asks the question … Is this the calendar of a President concerned with a budget, a government shutdown, the troops, unemployment or rising gas prices. The answer would be no.

Out of Touch President Obama Tells Volunteers That In Midterms “You Guys Turned ‘Yes We Can’ Into ‘Yes We Did’

Obama tells volunteers, “YES WE DID”, in the aftermath of the midterm elections. WHAT?

Did some one not tell President Obama that the Democrats got their collective butts handed to them in the 2010 midterm elections? So what is Obama referring to that they did, get shellacked? I guess Obama missed the Democrat Senate meeting memo where they blamed him for the Democrat losses.

Election loss, what election loss … I won!!!

Members of Organizing for America – the president’s former campaign committee – received a text message today asking them to call 888-206-1431 “to hear a special message from President Obama.”

In the recorded message, the president says, “Thank you for the tireless work, you guys organized the single largest midterm election effort in this history of our party…You turned ‘Yes We Can’ into ‘Yes We Did.’”

“You didn’t sit this one out even when all the pundits said it was hopeless and because of that we are stronger,” the president said.

 And the LEFT called GWB punchy and stupid. The 2010 midterm election shellacking consisted of a GOP net pick up of six US Senate seats, in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Arkansas, Indiana, Illinois and North Dakota. It saw a GOP pick up of Governors in Wyoming, Wisconsin, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Michigan, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Ohio. There were GOP US House of Representatives at 62+ and counting and 680 state legislature seats.  

Obama’s congratulatory message after such a drubbing is like General George Custard providing a positive tweet to the troops after the Battle of the Little Big Horn or Jimmy Carter giving a celebrating shout out to his peeps for a job well done following the Presidential Reagan landslide victory in 1980.

Obama acts like the 2010 midterm election never happened. Wait until the new Congress is seated in 2011 and the elections of 2012 … That just might grab his attention.

First Dukakis, Now Walter Mondale Give Obama Advice: “Stop Relying on “Idiot Boards” … Teleprompters, to Talk to the American People

Mondale has a message to Obama, the Teleprompter in Chief” or is it the “Idiot Board in Chief”?

As we speculated after Michael Dukakis stopped by the White House to give advice to President Obama, it was only a matter of time before Walter Mondale, another successful failed Democrat Presidentalcandidate showed up to provide his two cents.

Walter Mondale,  the former VP under Carter and failed Democrat Presidential candidate who lost in a landslide to Ronald Reagan, stated in an interview with CNN that President Barack Hussein Obama should stop relying on “idiot boards,”  i.e. teleprompters, to deliver his message to the American people.

Walter Mondale has some advice for President Obama if he wants to win a second term: drop the teleprompter.

He uses these idiot boards to read speeches in television, and I think he loses the connection that he needs emotionally with American voters,” Mondale said in an interview set to air this evening on CNN’s The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer, according to a transcript from the network.

“Idiot board” is a term used in television and movie production to refer to boards held up for performers to read off.

“If you’re looking at the teleprompter, you’re here, you’re here, you’re here and you’re — your audience is right there,” Mondale said. “And I think he needs to do more of that.”

As Hot Air reminds us, do you really want Obama off script and off his teleprompter. Don’t ask for things they might come true Democrats. BTW Barack, it is not up to you as to who has the keys to the car, it is up to WE THE PEOPLE.

Or when the Teleprompter when blank and so did Obama this time … Remember this doozy! There really is a reason why they call it an “IDIOT BOARD”.

First Lady Michelle Obama Warned Against Lavish Spanish Vacation … the Result, a PR and Image Polling Nightmare

King and Queen Obama are both out of touch with America and do not care … “Let the peasants eat cake.”

Michelle Obama was warned by aides against going to Spain and having a lavish vacation in the lap of luxury while back home common folk faced a nearly 10% unemployment rate and millions were unemployed. Her answer to the warnings, who cares, don’t you know who I am. Michelle Obama showed a complete disregard for the plight that the “common folk” were going through and now wonders why her carefully manufactured image is now tarnished and beyond repair. Michelle Obama finds her popularity poll numbers on the same path of President Obama, going south fast.

The New York Times reports First Lady Michelle Obama’s aides cautioned against her going on the early August European vacation in which she stayed at a 5-star resort in Spain and mingled with royalty. The lavish trip, the aides reportedly argued, could result in harm to her image. “Aides say privately that they warned her there would be a cost to the trip, but she overruled them, insisting it was a rare chance to spend time with Sasha and with a friend whose father had died,” the paper reports. “But the intensity of the uproar — including accusations that she was a ‘modern-day Marie Antoinette’ — caught the White House and Mrs. Obama off guard.”

Once Again Obama Shows No Eye for Detail … Obama’s Oval Office Rug, a Martin Luther King Jr Misquote

We have been told that Barack Hussein Obama is the smartest President ever. Yet, some hoe he can’t even get a quote correct on a rug. No wonder he is a complete and utter failure when it comes to the economy. It would appear that the new rug that Obama had made for the Oval Office has the quote, “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.”

 However, according media reports, this quote keeping Obama company on his wheat-colored carpet is from King. There is just one thing wrong, the smartest President ever got it wrong. The quote is not from Martin Luther King Jr., it is from , Theodore Parker. Smartest President, inded.

The misattributed rug quote is just a microcosm of the Obama Administration, one colossal screw up after another.

A mistake has been made in the Oval Office makeover that goes beyond the beige.

President Obama’s new presidential rug seemed beyond reproach, with quotations from Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy and the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. woven along its curved edge.

Except it’s not a King quote. The words belong to a long-gone Bostonian champion of social progress. His roots in the republic ran so deep that his grandfather commanded the Minutemen at the Battle of Lexington.

It would appear that “rug burn” did not just occur in the Clinton White House, but the Obama one as well.  You really have to begin to question that lack of focus, lack of knowledge and lack of detail; to attention from this President. Is it any wonder why so many now look at Obama as an abject failure.

As stated by The American Thinker, why is anyone to believe that Obama is so smart …. because a bunch of lackeys in the MSM said so?

The error perfectly encapsulates the shallowness of Barack Obama’s intellect, and his lack of rigor. Obama is a man who accumulated academic credentials while giving no evidence whatsoever of achieving any depth. He was the only president of the Harvard Law Review to graduate without penning a signed article in that esteemed journal. His academic transcripts remain under lock and key, as do his academic papers.

For the sort of people like David Brooks of the New York Times, who are impressed by fancy degrees and a sharp crease in the trousers, Obama may appear to be the smartest ever occupant of the Oval Office. But, as the old joke goes, deep down, he is shallow. Underfoot, literally, there is woven into his background a prominent vein of phoniness.
