Are you serious? What’s the matter was SWAT and the Massachusetts National Guard busy?

The Charlton Public Library in Charlton, MA had the audacity to send the police to the home of a 5 year old girl to collect over due books.  This might be the most ridiculous use of the police and a waste of tax payer dollars ever. The visit by police scared the 5 year old that she burst into tears and thought she was going to be arrested. Does anyone think that this is a bit excessive?

Charlton Police Sergeant Dan Dowd stopped by the home of Shannon Benoit to let her know that her daughter had two books several months overdue which needed to be returned or paid for.

I thought it was way overboard,” says Benoit. “I closed my door, I looked at my daughter and she started crying.”

Hailey asked her mom if the police were going to arrest her. Hailey says, “I was scared.”

Imagine if an actual crime was being committed that needed a police presence. Instead, the local fuzz was at the home of a hardened 5 year old criminal who had an over due library book.

A note to all in Charlton … DO NOT GO TO THE CHARLTON LIBRARY OR YOU MIGHT BE NEXT.

Even the police officer, Sgt. Dan Dowd admits he wasn’t real keen on going to a child’s home and shaking down a 5 year old for overdue books. What else should be expect from the People’s Republic of Massachusetts.

“Nobody wanted to, on this end to get involved in it,” says Sgt. Dowd. “But the library contacted us, and the chief delegated, and apparently I was one of the low men on the totem pole.”

Person of Interest Detained for Questioning in L.A. Arson Fires

As reported at the LA Times, a person of interest has been detained and is being questioned in regards to the numerous arson fires that have taken place recently in Los Angeles. Officials said Sunday that they have linked at least 39 fires to those arsons, which began Friday morning. According to LAPD, the individual considered to be the POI is believed to be the man seen in a video police released Sunday in connection with the case.

Los Angeles police this morning detained and are questioning a “person of interest” in the spate of arson fires occurring around the city since Friday.

The individual, believed to be the man seen in a video police released Sunday in connection with the case, was detained near Sunset Boulevard this morning, according to an LAPD source familiar with the investigation.

However, in a statement, a Los Angeles fire official said that “it is too early to speculate if this person is responsible for the spree of arson fires.”

I guess we will know if they have detained the correct individual by the number of fired, or lack there of, as the POI is on custody.

UPDATE I: As reported at Hot Air, The LAPD says that they discovered “evidence and materials” in the suspect’s minivan that leads them to believe he’s at least involved.

Los Angeles Police Department detectives found materials that could have been used to set fires inside the minivan of a “person of interest” detained for questioning in the recent string of L.A. arson fires, law enforcement sources told The Times.

The sources did not reveal details but said detectives confiscated “evidence and materials” that suggest the individual had the ability to ignite some or all of the blazes.

26 Year Old Christina “Pinky” Mordente, Developmentally Disabled Woman Missing in Missouri City, TX Since 1/1/12

26 year old Christina “Pinky” Mordente is missing in Missouri City, TX. Christina, also known as ‘Pinky”, is a developmentally disabled woman has the mental capacity of a young teenager as she suffers from Aspberger’s Syndrome, a form of autism.According to reports, Christina wandered away from her group home Sunday evening. The family says that she is not dressed for the cold weather. She is also in need of her medications.

The 26-year-old’s family is desperate to find her. When she wandered away from her family’s home in the 1600 block of Thornbrook Drive Sunday evening, they say she was not dressed for the weather.

Christina has brown hair and brown eyes. She is 5’6″ to 5’7″ and weighs about 160 pounds. When last seen she was wearing a lime green jacket, blue jeans and pink prescription glasses and she was wearing her hair in a pony tail.

More than two dozen searchers descended Monday on the Hunters Glen 1 and 2 subdivisions to locate Christina Mordente, 26, who suffers from Asperger’s Syndrome and is in need of medication, Missouri City police Capt. John Bailey said. Mordente wandered away from her family’s home in the 1600 block of Thornbrook shortly before 6 p.m. Sunday.

The search on Monday focused on the Hunters 1 and 2 subdivisions, which are surrounded by water. “There’s not a lot of water in it (bayou), but there’s lots of mud where someone could fall and get stuck,” he said.

Searchers also are zeroing in on Buffalo Run Park at the northern end of the search area, which has several lakes with “extremely deep” water, he said.

The search party includes five Missouri City police detectives and two sergeants, on foot and using four all-terrain vehicles. Officials from Chasing4Life also are assisting in the search.

Occupy Pasadena Protesters & Their Plastic Occupus get ZERO TV Coverage from HGTV, NBC and ABC … “You get Nothing”

Occupy Pasadena, you lose …

The Occupy Pasadena protesters wanted initially to ruin the Tournament of Roses Parade and make what is a great event into a political one. Then they wanted free TV coverage by entering their plastic Occupy Octopus into the Tournament of Roses Parade that strictly states the floats need to be covered with organic material. The parasitic protesters who looked to attack themselves to the end of the parade after it was over … RECEIVED ZERO TV COVERAGE FROM HGTV, NBC AND ABC.

This kind of reminds me of the movie This is Spinal TAP and the Smell the Glove album … “This is what they wanted, this is what they got”. They wanted free PR of 50 million US viewers and 200 million watching world wide to see their ridiculous “plastic” octopus. What they got was “BUTKIS”! Better yet, a blast from the past and Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka.

Occupy Protesters – You get Nothing … Good Day Sir

The theme of this years Tournament of Roses Parade was “Just Imagine”. Many had “just imagined” a parade where we could just have family fun and admire the dedication and hard work of so many and the fantastic floats. My person favorite was the Surfs Up surfing Dogs giving a new meaning to “Moon Doggy”.

A special thanks to HGTV, ABC and NBC for providing no coverage of this parasitic protest movement. Of course they received many calls and emails asking them to do such.

Of course no one could prevent the protesters from walking the parade route after the Tournament of Roses parade was over. By this point parade watchers were going home and paying no attention to the protesters that showed up. Maybe they could make themselves useful and pick up the horse poop. Oh, that’s right, they don’t pick up their own waste.

UPDATE I: How pathetic is it that a protest movement would need a “peace keeping” team to prevent its own members from trying to cause trouble during the Tournament of Roses, ala the UN. Really, you need to have people keep your own in line. What must they think of their own tugs? They obviously do not trust them.

BTW, note to Occupy Pasadena protesters, plastic is still plastic even if its recycled. Its still not organic like what all the Tournament of Roses Parade floats were covered with.

Good Grief …Pay $45,000 Tuition at Columbia University to Get 99% Occupy Protest Classes (Occupy 101)

WHAT A JOKE: File this one under bed wetting, liberal guilt hypocrisy …

Columbia University offer Occupy protest 101 classes.That is correct, the Ivy League school where the tuition is $45,000 + is offering courses in Occupy 101. Talk about the height of hypocrisy. Does one get to major in “Occupy” pretesting or is it just a minor? Will there be graduate courses? Because I am sure every MBA Columbia offers needs to have business electives in how not to know how to use a bar of soap, have complete contempt of the law, use drugs, assault others and sexually abuse class mates.

Columbia University is offering a new course on Occupy Wall Street next semester — sending upperclassmen and grad students into the field for full course credit.

The class is taught by Dr. Hannah Appel, who boasts about her nights camped out in Zuccotti Park.

As many as 30 students will be expected to get involved in ongoing OWS projects outside the classroom, the syllabus says.

The class will be in the anthropology department and called “Occupy the Field: Global Finance, Inequality, Social Movement.” It will be divided between seminars at the Morningside Heights campus and fieldwork.

Seriously, a tuition that costs $45K + is offering courses for the so-called 99%? How exactly do the students at Columbia think they got there? Do these people not understand … THEY ARE THE 1% THEY HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR! Why would Columbia lower themselves by allowing this? I am sure there are many alumni that are questioning their diploma and what it is now worth. More from Michelle Malkin and the hypocrisy of offering such classes yet charging an unbelievable tuition where only a small number of students could ever afford.

#OWS: Occupy Wall Street Protesters Break New Years Resolution to Follow the Law … Thugs Clash with Police, Break down Barricades at Zuccotti Park & Stab Cop

That didn’t take long for #OWS protesters to break their New Years resolution of being law abiding citizens.

America, take a good look at the President Barack Hussein Obama endorsed Occupy Wall Street protesters. These individuals have no respect for the police or regard for the law.  The Occupy savages started 2012 the same way they left off in 2011.  Protesters clashed with police at Zuccotti park as some 800 protesters tried to take back the park where one police officer was stabbed by a protesters. The suspect along with many other protesters were arrested as the NYPD cleared the park of human debris.

As reported at the New York Times, The Occupy Wall Street protesters pushed their luck with the NYPD and lost.

More than 500 people associated with the Occupy Wall Street movement gathered in Zuccotti Park on Saturday and, in a return to scenes from earlier in the year, the evening began with the sound of drumming and calls of the now familiar slogan, “We are the 99 percent” — and it ended with torn-down barricades and a scuffle with police officers.

Just after 10:30 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, officers carried a person out of the park, prompting protesters to follow behind them, shouting “Shame!” The reason the person was escorted away was unclear.

About 20 minutes later, a group of protesters grabbed some of the metal barricades that surround the park and began piling them inside. As they gripped the barricades, police officers took hold as well, and a shoving match began, the silver bars trapped in between. At least one police officer fired an arch of pepper spray into the crowd behind those barricades.

Moments later, at least a dozen police officers charged into the park, plowing directly into a crowd of people, some of whom were trying to flee, pushing and shoving. One man was thrown down and pinned to the ground by several officers.

Barack Obma and Democrats have much explaining to do as to why they endorse the breaking of the law and attacking police officers.  In the end, the Occupy Wall Street fought the law and the law won.

CNN Does Anything for Ratings … New Year Eve Host Kathy Griffin Strips Down to Underwear & Begs Anderson Cooper to take His Off

With CNN’s low ratings, it is obvious that they will do anything for ratings … thus, off come Kathy Griffin’s clothes. It is obvious that CNN wants the awkward banter between Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin. For a square, Anderson Cooper made the comment, “you got a rockin body”.

Before the ball dropped in Time Square New York last night ushering in 2012 … CNN’s New Years Eve host Kathy Griffin’s clothes dropped down to her underwear in from of a supposed shocked Anderson Cooper. Sorry, after year after year of comedian Kathy Griffin’s antics on New Years Eve, this cannot come as a shock to CNN. One might even think that it is scripted. Although edgy, Girffin’s actions last night were actually far more tame than in previous years like THIS and THIS.
