For far too long, dolphins have been left out of the Olympics. Is it because they are smarter than most athletes? Is it because their razor-sharp teeth slice through those pricey gymnastics mats? Is it because it is impossible to hang medals around their necks? Recent research from the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration shows it is the latter, primarily due to the fact that dolphins do not have necks and their skin is quite slippery. Also, their razor-sharp teeth slice through the ribbons, and the valuable medals fall to the bottom of the ocean floor, never to be seen again. This is a waste of money and pollutes the environment.
That's why dolphins prefer to hold their own Olympics, where it's more about doing freestyle tricks and leading schools of fish in a magical underwater ballet than corporate sponsorships and doping scandals. You will notice that the dolphin on the opening screen of Dolphin Olympics 2 is sipping a martini on the beach, but that hardly qualifies as substance abuse. She is simply relaxing after a long day of scoring mad points at the Olympics. Don't judge her.
