presidential candidates (again)

i think i've found a candidate in whom i'm interested! i like his background, i like things he has accomplished thus far and i like what i'm reading about him as i check him out.

jon huntsman jr. - - current ambassador to china has tossed his hat into the ring for the 2012 presidential bid. based on what i've read thus far - i like the guy.

the media appears to be pushing huntsman as a "moderate" republican - however someone with whom even the staunchest of tea partiers can get along with.

apparently (according to the media articles) the fact the huntsman has been serving in the obama administration is something of a negative. i'm not sure i would agree with that - after all the man and his family have been in china for the past two years!! and before that he was governor of utah - and a good one at that!

i think i'll keep my eye on mr huntsman - - possibly a gop'er worth supporting....

GOP runners?

tOday they asked this question, "With so many big name Republican candidates dropping out or hesitant to enter the 2012 race, do you think some of the GOP heavy hitters are scared of Obama?"

they showed a graphic with big RED X's through names like Daniels, Trump, Huckabee, Thune......

remaining is Gringrich, Cain, Romney, Paul and Pawlenty...

reading thru the 1600 comments, i was struck by the number of people who seem to think the ticket will be Gingrich and Cain!!!  amazing - - a 'has been' and a 'nobody'..........sheesh...

if this is the best the gop can muster up, then you can bet your last dollar that obama gonna get re-elected....

and i don't blame guys like daniels and huckabee and thune for pulling out - - the complete and total disrepect that the media will show for any candidate is going to be something to witness.  you have to be somewhat nuts to want to run against the obama machine - - cuz all stops will be pulled - hell if you farted somewhere and it was heard (or smelt!) the media gonna eat you alive....

prediction - this is going to be one of the nastiest campaign cycles in our history. no doubt.
