ArenaNet has posted an update on its developer blog, explaining some of the new mechanics in its upcoming MMO, Guild Wars 2. One of the most interesting additions will be the so-called "cross profession combos", which basically allow players to string two attacks together to create some ultra-powerful smack-down moves. Michael Bay might be famous for directing multimillion dollar blockbuster movies like Transformers and Pearl Harbor, but in his spare time he also likes to direct commercials for Need for Speed games (apparently). The latest trailer for EA's upcoming racing game, Need for Speed: The Run, was created by Mr. Bay himself, and is unsurprisingly packed full of car crashes and explosions. Battlefield 3 is set to get even bigger this December, with the release of the Back to Karkand expansion pack. The downloadable bundle features four classic maps from Battlefield 2, each lovingly restored and enhanced to BF3 standards. A few weeks ago a trailer was released for Act of Valor and much of the Internet commented that it looks like an unofficial Call of Duty/Battlefield movie. After years in development, the beta to No More Room in Hell was finally let loose on the public Monday, appropriately on Halloween. The Half-Life 2 mod is a multiplayer focused zombie survival game powered by Valve's Source engine (sound familiar?), and there will no doubt be comparisons to Left 4 Dead.
