Of course, running such a file could potentially get you banned from the Origin service, depending on how EA chooses to react. This could mean losing access to your game(s) entirely, so it's probably not worth the risk even if you are having problems with Origin. Considering the amount of problems I've had with BF3 since launch I've just chosen to give up with trying to play until some signficant patches hit. No risk there!
With RPGs in mind, do you guys tend to struggle with hoarder like tendencies when you play? I do! I'm seriously always at the brink of a full inventory, this has been a problem as far back as the old Ultima titles, maybe even TSR classics. It's like I want to take every last thing I can find in the hopes I can turn it into a few bucks. The limitless inventory change to Dark Souls actually gave me a break from the stress of managing inventories, and I loved it.
Oh, and about that Dota 2 story that I put up last night. Well, the NDA lifted quite some time ago, and I've played it a lot since I got access. Dota 2 even in beta form has a level of polish that few companies can afford to apply, Valve obviously being one of them. If you haven't signed up for the beta yet I highly suggest you do just so you can get in early, and see what it's all about. I think Valve is really in a position to rock the foundation of the current MOBA kings.
That's all for this update, but we've got a special little surprise for you first! Jube has been secretly feeding data taken from mindjack sessions on Gmoist to the guys behind Italian Spiderman on Youtube. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the Danger 5 trailer!

As of today, The Lord of the Rings: The War in the North is now available on Steam. I haven't heard much hype on this lately, but I've had an eye on it for a while. There's no demo available at this time, so I may end up waiting for a sale unless there are some really good reviews rolling out. If you pick it up, drop us a line and let us know how you like it!

The now famous Humble Bundle at it again, this time with Voxatron - an indie voxel based platformer/shooter, The Binding of Isaac, and Blocks That Matter. As usual, pay what you want, split what you pay how you want, and get future updates for free. Humble bundles are one of the best deals out there, and go to help charity (if you want), so check it out!
Here is the launch video to give you a taste of what's in store:
Bethesda released a new behind the scenes video that previews some of the in-depth "making of" that'll be included in the limited collector's edition.
Cool stuff, I can't wait to get my hands on Skyrim, but I went with the convenience option and pre-ordered on Steam instead of having to pay for expedited shipping; no collector's edition for me. Do any of you guys have the collector's edition on order? Also did you notice there are dragons - fighting each other? Excellent.
If the email wasn't enough for you, then today's blog update very clearly confirms the expansion of the beta, including news that anyone accepted into the test will get an extra two keys for their friends.
We’ve just finished our first significant expansion of Dota 2 server capacity around the world, and that means it’s time to kick this thing up a notch. Starting this week, we’ll be handing out Dota 2 in increasing volumes. To celebrate, we’re releasing the first part of the official Dota 2 comic, Tales from the Secret Shop.As mentioned above, the very first part of the "Tales from the Secret Shop" comic strip is now live.Once you’ve read today’s part, make sure you fill out the Dota 2 Survey in Steam to secure your place in the upcoming invitations (if you haven’t restarted your Steam client for a few days, you might need to do that before clicking that link). The extra data the survey provides will allow us to ensure we invite a wide spread of players and hardware.
One thing everyone will tell you is that Dota is a game that’s more fun with friends. Because of that, we wanted to make sure everyone we invited could bring a couple of friends – so everyone who receives Dota 2 will be given two extra copies that they can hand out to whomever they’d like. You’ll find your extra copies in the Steam section of your Steam account’s item inventory, and you can use the Steam Trading feature to give them to your friends.
Once you have Dota 2 installed, keep an eye on this blog. We update the game every Thursday with extra heroes, features, and bug fixes, and we’ll cover interesting elements of those updates right here. We’ll also be giving you some more insight into the development of Dota 2 over the coming months, as we roll through the rest of Dota’s many heroes.
Personally, I’m upset by Max’s poor trigger discipline in two of those screenshots. Obviously, the events of the past two games have made him reckless.
Modern Warfare Livestream is now activated! Watch the IGN Editors do battle from 12-4PM PST! It's going to be epic with all-new gameplay action never seen before! Get your questions answered during the battle by tweeting @IGN with the tag #MW3.
As quoted on CVG in a previous article, EA said it lead development on PC because that audience "has been the one complaining."
I guess PC players didn't complain quite enough if they switched lead development to consoles!
Exec producer Patrick Bach said: "We actually haven't heard any complaints from the console audience. We are letting the PC audience make use of the very expensive hardware that they just bought so they can tick all the boxes and go for the 64-player fights."

Balancing Changes:
First off, I hope you all had a happy Halloween. It’s my favorite holiday. I’m a Christmas baby (and yes, my parents did try to return me the next day), so I associate Christmas with shrinking Telomeres and morbid thoughts of my subsequent mortality. Halloween, however, is all fun and games.
Personally, I like to play a decent horror game around this time of year. Generally, I’ll reinstall a classic like Clive Barker’s Undying. Sometimes, I’ll pick a newer one up like Amnesia. This year I’ve been playing a lot of cooperative Dead Island with a good friend, which I’ve enjoyed immensely.
So, how did you guys spend your Halloween and what are your favorite horror games?
P.S. I was going to post a video showing off the Saiga 12 with a red dot site (Battlefield 3 doesn’t do it any justice) and pontificate about the “need” for Left 4 Dead 2 to add the Saiga 12 to its arsenal. However, Jube’s dog had diarrhea, and that ruined everything.
