WoW Subscribers are getting Diablo III for free. At least, that's the case for World of Warcraft subscribers who buy 12-month subscriptions. At BlizzCon today, Blizzard's annual event, Mike Morehaim announced that anyone with a World of Warcraft "Annual Pass" will get access to Diablo III completely free when it launches. It's the full Digital version (so no box), but it comes with an in-game mount called Tyrael's Charger.
This is likely in response to the notable drop in subscriptions World of Warcraft has suffered this year.
The Annual Pass is available now on Blizzard's website. We'll have more from Blizzcon over the next two days, so stay tuned to IGN.
