BlizzCon starts up on October 21, and at the show you can expect a whole bunch of details about the new multiplayer additions coming to StarCraft II. The new content will be included with Heart of the Swarm, the second installment of the three-part StarCraft II saga.
Previously Blizzard teased a new Terran unit, and below you'll find teases for units to be included for the Zerg and Protoss forces.
The Zerg unit looks like it'll attack from a distance, as its back section appears to be some kind of launcher. What exactly it'll attack is another question. It could lob out long range projectiles at land targets, serving as a Zerg-style siege unit, or it could function as land-based anti-air unit. It seems like it'll be able to burrow, and by the looks of its spiny plating, it could very likely be armored.
The Protoss unit is pretty interesting as well. I think it's fairly safe to call it an air unit, and judging by the sparkly energy in between its oval arms, it could attack units and structures Independence Day-style. Or it could, as IGN's Nick Kolan points out, be an additional aerial support unit that aids in Protoss teleportation somehow.
