Late Night FDL: Pouting Baby Says “Creepy Clarence and Mrs. Ginni T Are In Big Trouble Now” |

Pouting Baby is talking to us again. — JW
I know I’ve talked about Creepy Clarence and Mrs. Ginni T a lot. I asked why Mrs. Ginni T made mean phone calls to Professor Hill. Then I asked why Creepy Clarence is allowed to lie. After that, I asked why Bow Tie Boy hired Mrs. Ginni T. Tonight I want to get back to Creepy Clarence’s lies, because now Common Bob and his friends have found out that Creepy Clarence’s lies are even bigger than we first thought.
Back when I first talked about Creepy Clarence’s lies, Common Bob’s friends told us how Mrs. Ginni T. made lots of money from mean people and Creepy Clarence lied about her getting the money. He said she didn’t earn any money. At that time, we thought that the lie was about $700,000 Mrs. Ginni T. made over a period of six years. Now, it turns out that Creepy Clarence first started lying about Mrs. Ginni T’s job in 1997 and kept lying all the way through 2009. Common Bob’s friends have found that Mrs. Ginni T. made at least $1.6 million during that time.
What’s worse is that when Creepy Clarence first tried to fix the reports where he lied, he tried to claim that he didn’t understand the instructions on the forms. Now we know that from at least 1991 through 1996, Creepy Clarence properly reported Mrs. Ginni T’s job on the same forms that he forgot how to fill out in 1997. Over $1 million of the money Creepy Clarence lied about came from the mean people at Heritage Foundation, where they try to make sure rich people get richer and we fight more wars.
Now Common Bob’s friends want our lawmakers to make Creepy Clarence explain why he lied. If Creepy Clarence keeps on lying, some people think the lawmakers could make Creepy Clarence stop being an important judge. Not everyone, especially Mr. Bmaz, thinks that could happen, though. I hope Mr. Bmaz is wrong and we can get a better important judge than Creepy Clarence. Someone who lies about money shouldn’t be allowed to be an important judge.
Techniques the Corporate Powers Will Use to Destroy the OWS Movement |

“Remember, the guy who suggests getting the dynamite is usually the Fed.”
- Old hippie saying
Yesterday morning a retired military officer friend (RMOF) and I were conversing about what might happen next with the Occupy Wall Street movement. Since Michael Westen of Burn Notice or Annie Walker from Covert Affairs weren’t available, he offered some thoughts from the point of view of a non-fictional character who studies this stuff. I, as a media watcher and activist wanted to talk about how the media and power players will deal with the various actions and what we can do to predict the media’s actions so we can get ahead of news and prepare. I also have delusions of influencing the narrative, but I’m afraid that shuttle craft might have left the ship.
Here are a few of his thoughts and some of my questions, predictions and suggestions.
RMOF:
I expect “trouble” soon. I don’t expect it from the protestors, but plants put in by the plutocrats or by violent individuals.
Spocko:
Definitely. The media LOVE plants because they will create the kind of action that makes for good TV. What they are not good at is tracking down who has started the action and just how connected they really are to the movement. Today our new media can help. We already identified Deputy Inspector Anthony Bologna, the cop who pepper sprayed the penned in girls. I doubt the MSM have diligently tracked him down if only they had the footage. Even if they did it would be days later and they would have had to go though official channels. [cont'd.]
Pictures from the DC October 2011 Rally |

I spent my morning at Freedom Plaza in Washington DC for the beginning of the October 2011 rally. While the event is heavily focused on ending our highly unpopular and expensive wars, it is also about economic justice and stopping the corporate control of government that is destroying the country for the other 99 percent. This was a protest not just against the Republican policies that started under George W. Bush, but also the policies that Barack Obama chooses to continue and expand on a daily basis.
Boehner Puts Up Firewall to China Currency Bill |
| By: David Dayen Thursday October 6, 2011 5:30 pm |
It was already clear that the House GOP wanted no part of the China currency manipulation bill working its way through the Senate, but John Boehner clinched it the other day, calling it “pretty dangerous” for lawmakers to crack down on China and their artificial lowering of the price of their exports. The Republican leadership even forced Hal Rogers, the chair of the Appropriations Committee, to take his name off the discharge petition trying to force a vote on the bill to the floor, after he initially signed it. There are currently a majority of co-sponsors for the legislation in the House, but only 175 signers of the petition after Rogers took his name off.
Visiting the Occupy Wall Street Encampment |

A photo essay.
The embattled center of the fight. Wall Street looked to be on full-scale military-style lockdown. Tourists could pass through, but there was no room to stop and police eyes were everywhere.

Two Studies On Economic Growth, Income Inequality and Deficits Tell the Whole Story |
| By: David Dayen Thursday October 6, 2011 3:40 pm |
Today sees the rise of two key studies that reveal some fundamental truths about how an economy works, which are best looked at together. First, the CBO studied the question of how full employment would reduce the deficit. “Full employment” is defined here as a projection of what would happen if there wasn’t an “underutilization of capital and labor resources in the economy.” That’s pretty bloodless wonk-speak, but it means that the economy would be working to produce maximum output without idle labor sitting around collecting unemployment check. The unemployment rate they cite as the “full employment” rate is 5.2%. CBO estimates that the deficit would be 1/3 lower in 2012 as a result. This would result from an increase in tax revenue from higher employment, as well as a reduction in those qualifying for unemployment insurance and other social services.

R.I.P. Rev. Fred L. Shuttlesworth, Civil Rights Giant |
| By: Pam Spaulding Thursday October 6, 2011 1:10 pm |
On a day overshadowed by the coverage of the passing of Steve Jobs, we also lost a civil rights leader who literally took body blows for racial equality. The Rev. Fred L. Shuttlesworth, a contemporary of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Rep. John Lewis and others who put their lives on the line, died at 89.
