MAD is taking another crack at televised comedy after the successful run of MAD TV. In a brand new animated series targeting kids rather than adults on the Cartoon Network, the first season run wild with the ratings and excelled at what it aimed to do: bring a new audience to the classic formula that always seemed to work for the magazine. Warner Home Video will be releasing this second portion of the first season release, containing 13 episodes, on January 17, 2012 for the MSRP of $19.97.
MAD is the new animated sketch-comedy series from Warner Bros. Animation, and is inspired by the iconic MAD magazine. It features a twisted mix of humor and animation styles pulls back the curtain and exposes the sordid truth behind movies, TV shows, games and, of course, more curtains. Classic MAD icons are featured as staples in the program, as well as a barrage of pop culture parodies - something that MAD has always been notorious for.
