App Store Update: August 31

Every day hundreds of new apps make their debut on the App Store, and hundreds more are updated or reduced in price. We have sifted through the noise and highlighted those select few that might be worth your attention.

Ada's Farm ($0.99)
Ada's Farm has more in common with Diner Dash than Farmville. It's the latest casual time management game from Triniti Interactive.

Super Drill Panic (Free)
A modern spin on retro arcade action. The more free games with pixel art the better, we always say.

Spooky Hoofs ($0.99)
We haven't played Spooky Hoofs yet, but it looks like it might be better than the average iOS endless runner.


The Secret of Chateau de Moreau ($0.99)
This intriguing iOS mystery adventure debuted at $5. Now developer Four Thirty Three is selling 4,330 copies at $0.99, and 43,300 copies at $1.99.

The Labyrinth HD (Free)
This modern spin on Labyrinth has gone free. Grab it while you can.

Jewel Quest for iPad ($0.99)
iWin's classic casual game is 80% off for the Labor Day holiday.

CLAW (Free)
We haven't played CLAW, but it looks like a pretty bonkers 2D brawler.

Destructopus: Total Rampage (Free)
Play as a giant, fire-breathing octopus as he ravages city after city. What more do you need to know? Free for today only.


The Last Rocket
Level replays added, controls tightened up, and bugs squashed. Excellent!

Pigs in Trees
15 more levels of bird-shooting biplane action have been released.

Atari's Greatest Hits
OpenFeint integration and revised iPad controls.

Sprinkle: Water splashing fire fighting fun!
