One Christian Nation, Under God? No way, Jose!

by Buck • Wednesday, August 31st, 2011 - 9:43 pm

Not Welcome

Remember that post I put up back in June regarding my Kentucky county’s fight to nail up the Ten Commandments on the wall of our court house? (They still haven’t paid the bill of losing that one yet.) Well I’m sure you’re aware of the crap taking place down in Murfreesboro, Tenn. The fight has been by a bunch of area rubes, attempting to stop Muslims from building a mosque there. They’re under the impression that we live n a “Christian” nation. That that one religion is at home here, while all others are just barely tolerated. Some even shunned, as is the case here.

As of today, those idiot rubes lost their battle. A TN court reaffirmed that the US is a nation of religious liberty for all. Cool!

Six years ago today Katrina hit New Orleans. I don’t think those images will ever fade in my mind. They are as clear as the day it happened. I can’t imagine how vivid the memories are for Chicher and all who experienced it first hand, especially the kids who lived through it. Sending kind thoughts their way today.

Saturday Morning Coffee and News

by QuestionGirl • Saturday, August 20th, 2011 - 8:54 am

I do so love coffee, and I’m sure enjoying it this morning. I love these mornings when I don’t have to rush out the door. Time to savor my coffee and get some quiet read time in. It rained here this morning but the sun is shining now. Going to work some today and then cook up some Florida lobster and mahi mahi for dinner tonight. Mmmmm Mmmmmm. Is it wrong to be thinking about dinner at 9am? What’s on your plate today?
