I fell asleep Anthropologie and woke up J. Jill

I was doing a little on line fantasy shopping last week. One of my first stops was Anthropologie due to it's fabulous quirkdom. And I didn't like it. It was too much. I have purple hair. I like my hot pink sparkle lipstick on occasion. But the clothes just weren't me. Oh sure, I have some funky patterned sundresses and skirts for summer. But summer and patterned sundress go hand in hand. Plus I made them myself so naturally they rock.

My current sewing project is a long navy sundress. I am looking forward to it if I ever get off my bum and finish it. I can easily wear it well into fall with a nice cardigan, denim jacket or knit blazer. So... simple.

Which brings me to J. Jill. Long skirts, comfy but fitted knit tops. Black, grey and white. It would look so fabulous with the jewelry the husband has given me over the years. It is, in a word, me. Or two words - me now.

It isn't a big deal. I know this. I've still got the purple hair, the caffeine molecule necklace, and the personality (which will always be quirky). But it isn't the same. Want to know what is even weirder?

I'm happy about it. Creepy.
