Electronic Arts' online retailer Origin will be required to play Battlefield 3 for PC.
DICE Community Manager Daniel Martos (via BF3Blog) confirmed the Origin client will be necessary for those who purchased the game at retail. It's unclear at this time if Origin will be required even if the game is purchased digitally from other online stores.
EA confirmed earlier this week Battlefield 3 will not be sold through Steam, Valve's online store.
