The "game" is pretty funny. If you have some time to kill then you may want to check it out, but don't expect some awesome shooter that you'll be playing for months to come. It's more about the jokes and Bulletstorm pimpage than actual gameplay. When you exit the game it plays a Bulletstorm trailer.
I hopped in for a look, here's a six-pack of images.
Update: From Cry-Tom on MyCrysis:
Hi guys,
These minimum specs are not official or final, we'll have an announcement about this soon. Please note if you didn't hear it from me/see it on MyCrysis, then it's not official :)
The game takes place in the same universe as the studio's All Aspects Warfare and will focus on player-versus-player combat in an open and persistent game world. 3000AD says that while its engine and tech support player-versus-environment elements, it will explore integrating PVE content after the MMO's release.Line of Defense's gameplay will consist of "two opposing sides fighting for control of military bases across various continents on contested planets and space regions."
Players take on the role of an infantry marine with access to "various weapons of mass destruction," land and naval vehicles, and aircrafts and gunships.
“We are pleased to report another strong quarter,” said John Riccitiello, Chief Executive Officer. “Our $600 million stock buyback demonstrates our confidence in EA’s digital strategy.”

While the LEGO equivalent of the Jack Sparrow swagger may not be on par with Johnny Depp's, it's a pretty good imitation anyway.
Members of the development team will make appearances inside the game beginning February 2, posing trivia questions and handing out special exclusive rewards to lucky participants.

Watch the first anniversary video for a recap of the enhancements they've made to the game since its launch a year ago.
Andromeda's arsenal of abilities includes:
It is worth noting though that his video was made with an internal build of the soon to be released Beta 5 update. In it are the new GAU-8 cannon sounds that fans have been clamoring for. The cannon lag issue as seen in my recent coverage seems to be fixed as well, his gun run was smooth as butter.
The voice input and output compression rates have also been bumped to 16khz both ways in the update, bringing things ever so closer to copper wire old school telephone level quality.
Stay tuned though for some more in-house goodies this week, assuming things go as planned. Keep safe and warm folks, and feel free to share your worst (or best) weather experience in the comments!
The open beta includes the city of Vienna in sandbox mode, and one scenario. You can snag the beta from FilePlanet. The beta will run until February 20, 2011.
With Fire & Sword also builds and expands upon the highly regarded combat system from Mount & Blade: Warband. Firearms have been introduced to the battlefield, opening up exciting new play-styles and options. Players can also utilize explosives for taking out groups of foes or to breach castle walls. In addition to the enhanced singleplayer mode, With Fire and Sword also provides a host of original multiplayer content including the new Captain Mode which allows players to control their own forces in online matches.
Below you can check out the announcement trailer and a developer diary.
Fallen Enchantress is a pretty radical departure from War of Magic. Based on what I’m seeing, I suspect most people will prefer that by far to War of Magic but only time will tell. But in any event, we will be making a v1.3 of War of Magic that will be on its own code branch.
On the topic of staffing decisions:
Now, as some people may recall, after War of Magic’s difficult launch, we had to re-evaluate our staffing levels and reorganize. This meant some painful layoffs back last Fall which came from people slated for the RPG title. After War of Magic, it was recognized that the game studio was being run like a hobby and not as an engineering process like our enterprise software unit. This meant we needed to bring in full-time designers and full-time project managers onto the studio. Thus, the second studio team, designated for the Elemental: RPG, got largely zapped. This year we will begin to reconstitute this team as we bring in a lead studio developer and some senior developers to help ensure that we don’t have another War of Magic episode.
On the topic of Wardell's sabbatical:
As some people may remember, I was planning to take a sabbatical last year. Clearly that didn’t happen. I am still planning to do this sometime early this year. With Kael and Jon Shafer here now, I am comfortable that the games unit won’t need me to intervene...
2155. From the ashes of the devastating Third Great War rose the Commonwealth, an oppressive world government determined to control the entire planet. The few remaining independent factions retaliate the only way they can, with elite teams of special operatives trained in advanced warfare tactics and equipped with high-tech weaponry. The future of humanity is their battleground, where knowledge is power, technology is a race, and everyone has a Global Agenda.
It features new missions, maps, buildings, enhancements to the political and economic systems and don't forget.... Facebook and Twitter integration so you can brag about your ingame accomplishments to the whole world.
The expansion puts into place a background story for Sunrise City, the game's gang-infested near-future metropolis setting. When the game first launched in 2009, all it had was a crime theme with no back story to it. The idea was to leave it open for the players to develop their own stories but the community wanted an official story. In Bleedout, Vogster finally supplies the whys and wherefores of the game world.
In Episode 6: THE ACHILLES HELIX, premiering Saturday February 5th, the secret behind the world's collapse begins to unravel. Written by Mike Kennedy (Star Wars, Superman, Alien vs Predator) and featuring artwork by comic book veteran Gary Erskine (Dan Dare, Star Wars, Terminator, Transformers), Episode 6: THE ACHILLES HELIX takes players deep into the secret labs of the Sons of Liberty, where deadly experiments threaten to blow the lid off of a dangerous secret agenda.
Realm of the Titans is a bold, new take on the popular action strategy genre. In ROTT, two teams of up to five heroes face off on a dangerous and dynamic battlefield in an attempt to take total control of the map. As each team advances across the field of combat, they seize control points that spawn waves of NPC minions to assist them in the conflict. Players who perform well in battle are awarded points that can be used during the match to upgrade their hero’s powers and abilities. The game is meticulously designed to reward teamwork and tactics, and encourage fluid and fast-paced competitive gameplay.Apart from offering players dynamic battlefields, enhanced item purchasing, and the return of key DotA features, ROTT also includes:
- In-Depth Ranking Features – Level up in the game while making your way up the leaderboards by defeating higher-ranked players.
- Advanced Matchmaking System – In ROTT, you can automatically be matched up with other suitable partners and competitors.
- Robust Statistics & Record Tracking – Battle data and match history is saved on the server. Players can review their past performances and share favorite replays with friends.
A brutal Númenórean, Agandaûr is extremely dangerous on his own, but is even more so due to his orders from Sauron to rally an army strong enough to take down key Elf and Dwarf strongholds. The ultimate goal: attack on all fronts and destabilize the whole of Middle-earth.
The game focuses on events taking place in the northern regions of Middle Earth as a background of the main story in Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. It will allow you to take control of one of three heroes, with a three-person co-op play feature that will let you team up with the other two.
An exact release date has not been announced but it's supposed to come out sometime in 2011.

Interesting thing about the dungeons is that not all of them require the usual tank-and-spank tactics. There's at least one where all you do is solve puzzles to get through. I'm assuming that the puzzles will require teamwork.
In the first major expansion for the game, Elves & Dwarves, the world of Graxia is greeted by two new Guardians from faraway islands, Flist the deceitful Elf and Broxin the greedy Dwarf. They bring with them even more powerful units and abilities to engage on six additional skirmish maps, some of which have random tile generation for unique gameplay."With the success of Guardians of Graxia and its first map pack, we're excited to announce the most compelling content update to the game yet,” said Tony Mullins, Associate Producer. “While Flist and Broxin are worthy Guardians to command into battle, winning a game on the new randomly generated tiled maps is sure to put a twist in your previous strategies!"
“Guardians of Graxia now provides even more engaging encounters the community has been waiting for, starting with the Elf and Dwarf races on expansive new maps," said Mathew Anderson, Community Manager at Petroglyph. " Haven't played Guardians of Graxia yet? Give the new demo a try!”
Guardians of Graxia features fantasy turn-based strategic gameplay using cards that are your units and actions, on a tiled map representing floating islands. The PC version combines the best of both online and board game aspects, and contains more than 240 unique units and spells. The game supports a single player campaign and numerous skirmish maps. Currently released are the core game, Map Pack 1, and today's expansion.
