Elemental: War of Magic is a PC strategy game that puts the player in command of a kingdom in a shattered fantasy world. Players build cities, raise armies, research technologies, go on quests, recruit heroes, negotiate treaties, learn spells and more in this epic strategy game.In Fallen Enchantress players will be able to explore the world of Elemental and discover a wide range of unique locations, including dangerous wild lands that can’t be settled until they are conquered. There are areas like the Bhinadmi Fissure, a massive chasm that spawns demons and earth elementals, until a player goes to the edge and challenges the elemental lord that dwells within.
These undiscovered lands contain new characters and creatures: from the tragic Butchermen who wander the lands around Red Springs trying to pass their curse off to another victim, to Morian the Ruin of Summer, who was once a powerful nature elemental who has been driven mad by the Cataclysm and the destruction of his forests.
We're very excited about what we're working on. Like Neverwinter, our Top Secret work represents our continued commitment to diversify and reach beyond the boundaries of traditional MMORPG gaming. We can't wait to show you more!
So we have more than one new Cryptic MMO to look forward to in the future! Wooo! Can't wait to find out what it is.
Project Blackout gives players the opportunity to do some damage in the fight between paramilitary and militia forces in the bullet-riddled country of Korogese. Players can blast their way through a wide variety of maps and five unique gameplay modes, earning experience to gain Rank, completing Mission Cards and using those exp gains and in-game rewards to customize their gameplay through the Advanced Combat Training system. All of these options can be used to improve their own, personal play style and shooting skills.Of course, there’s no use in jumping into a firefight without the right equipment, so players also need to pick their gear carefully if they want to survive. From assault rifles with laser sights, scopes and quick-change magazines, dual wielded SMGs to bulletproof helmets and flashbangs; it’s up to each user to decide whether they’d like to be a walking tank or a speedy sharpshooter. With the official Project Blackout launch, players who really want to gear up to the max can visit the in game Item Mall to snag these top-of-the-line items. Although, everyone would do well to keep the unofficial Korogesian motto in mind as they enter the fray: “When all else fails, let the bullet decide.”

"We're trying to move beyond gaming to include the world of socialization, movies, TV, music, and we're trying to make the whole experience accessible to everybody in the family not just the traditional gamer." When the BBC asked Ballmer "Will you plug-in the Kinect to the PC, will you go for that in the near future?" he replied with "We'll support that in a formal way in the right time and when we've got an announcement to make we'll make it."
What do you think, does the PC need motion control?
They've also got a launch trailer up on Youtube, enjoy:
It's nice to see the news pick up a little bit, and I'm thinking 2011 is going to be a pretty decent year for gaming. I'm guessing Dead Space 2 and The Witcher 2 are probably going to be my first "must plays" of the year, and they're really close to release now. I'm also starting to pay a little more attention to Red Orchestra 2, mainly thanks to PC Gamer's recent coverage. There's a little indie game called Monaco that they're freaking out about too, something about co-op 8-bit style stealth. So, what are you guys planning to pick up in early 2011?
For your daily entertainment, I found this little video on Youtube made by Remington (the shaver company). I'll leave my own preference to your imaginations!
Since all of this started, Wolfgang Hammersmith has replaced his website (including the pages advertising his book) and replaced it with a letter. Although Hammersmith does not admit to being a fraud, he does say that he cannot produce military credentials and as a result is voluntarily removing his rank from the book, and is changing the genre from non-fiction to fiction. Hammersmith maintains that he is still trying to recover records of his military background and when he is able to provide proof of his background he will do so.
According to Professional Soldiers, Wolfgang Hammersmith has burned through a number of fake names, and has been scrutinized for dodgy dealings in the past.

In October 2010 PC Gamer Senior Editor Evan "Frodo" Lahti flew out to visit Tripwire Interactive's offices in Georgia, and later wrote up his impressions of multiplayer after an intense play session with the developers. Here's a little taste:
More subtly, I love the delay RO2 introduces between death notifications. It sounds absolutely simple: if you kill someone, a pop-up won’t appear until five or six seconds after they’ve expired. That gap in immediate feedback stirs drama—even when you’re sure you’ve tagged a German between the lungs, there’s a bit of breath-holding after every kill. You forget how much organic tension you’ve been missing out on when a bright “+10” isn’t stamped on the screen to pat you on the back every time you shoot someone. That raw, scrappy-feeling gunplay strikes a compromise I’ve been waiting for for years: a nuanced multiplayer shooter that doesn’t place success at the top of its learning curve like an out-of-reach peanut butter jar. Every tint of realism feels purposefully ancillary—in the dozen-plus rounds I played, gunfights never hinged on how well I utilized cover—I could survive without it by crouching, leaning, crawling on my stomach or yelling at my squad leader to toss a smoke grenade to cover a flanking move.
Among the more juicy bits of 1.2.0 are a new "Extreme" graphics option which utilizes ambient occlusion, a "Masters League" placement group right above Diamond, and stalemate detection. There are also of course a number of bug fixes, balances changes, and editor updates.

Gray Matter is the first adventure game by renowned author Jane Jensen since the release of Gabriel Knight 3: the story mixes eerie goings-on with supernatural events in best Jensen-style. Neurobiologist Dr. David Styles is one of the game's central characters: since losing his wife in a horrible accident some several years ago, he has become a recluse, seldom leaving Dread Hill House, his English country estate.Retail price is tagged at $29.99.When student and part-time street performer Samantha Everett shows up at his doorstep, she unexpectedly becomes his assistant. Hailing from America, she has been traveling through most of Europe the last couple years. Her first task: finding six test subjects at Oxford University for one of Styles experiments. The experiment starts off innocently enough, but then inexplicable incidents start mounting.
Players control both Dr. David Styles and Samantha Everett in their bid to uncover the secrets and find out the truth. Gray Matter tackles questions concerning the nature of reality and the power of the human mind in constructing the world we take for granted.
Viva Media CEO Carlo Voelker commented, “The Black Mirror franchise is a worthy addition to the horror-adventure genre of gaming. Players will be treated to gaming worlds of lush 3D graphics and disturbing plots that thicken and do not disappoint as these chilling stories reveal themselves through exciting game-play. I am very happy that we are working with dtp entertainment and bringing these games to North America.”Michael Kalina, International Sales Director at dtp, said, “We are excited to launch these games with Viva Media and look forward to working with their team.”
Both Black Mirror 2 and 3 are point-and-click adventure games set in the 1990s and follow the story of Darren from Biddleford, Maine.
