Rich proposed in a book store so it was important to me to capture that in our photos. We weren’t sure if we were going to do engagement photos but I encourage every bride to do so! If you live in socal, the Utterly Engaged Party is Jan 19th in Long Beach, CA! It’s open to brides + vendors and should be lots of fun. There will be a design challange and I’m super excited to be one of the judges. Hope to see lots of you there!

Also, I wanted to share this fun event with you guys. Michelle Rahn creates gorgeous couture dresses at an affordable price. She was the hand picked designer of the Hitched fashion show last fall and I recently had the chance to meet her and see her dresses in person. They are stunning! I also fell in love with all the gorgeous handmade belts she creates – so pretty. They are inspired by vintage jewelry and are hand beaded of Swarovski crystal + buillion embroidery. The best part about purchasing a pretty belt like this is you really can wear it again. It’s a gorgeous statement piece that you can mix into your wardrobe after you are married and is a wonderful memento of your wedding day. I have a sweet Portland wedding to share with you guys today sent over from photographer Brandon Witzel. I love Brandon’s work and the intimate feel of this wedding.
