Jamie and I have some very happy news…
Very happy news that involves a baby boy! We couldn’t be more excited to meet our little one this spring. He’s going to be wicked cool, we just know it. ;)

The evening before Pam and Mark’s wedding, the wedding party gathered at the gorgeous resort where the wedding would be held. Playa Fiesta is on the southern shore of Puerto Vallarta Mexico, and has amazing views and an amazing staff. The energy was incredible, you could feel everyone’s excitement for the day to come. After rehearsal, we and the wedding party met the rest of the wedding guests at El Palomar de Gonzalez, a restaurant on the bluff overlooking the entire city and bay. The view was absolutely breathtaking, and the evening – warm and joyous. The perfect kickoff to one incredible, unforgettable wedding day!

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico :: One of the most beautiful places in the world, with one of the sweetest, kindest, and most fun couples we’ve ever worked with. We loved every minute of this session, and I’ve enjoyed every second of editing it from my Michigan studio. Remembering these gorgeous days we spent with Pam and Mark in sunny Mexico is making this icy December a little warmer :) We started right in the city, in old Puerto Vallarta. We walked along the uneven pavement through the streets, talking, laughing, and finding pretty little places to stop and shoot ~
The famous arches downtown:
Puerto Vallarta has SO many pretty little places tucked away here and there. It’s so much more than a beach!
Look at them, laughing and loving it. How could you NOT love them? They’re freaking adrorable!
A little way up the shore, we found a path to the ocean off the road. And by “path”, I mean very steep, uneven, kinda-scary rock climbing adventure. But once we made it down there… breathtaking!
I looooooove this one!
These next two are the last shots I took – I had my dress hiked up, and was crouching in the water along with Pam & Mark. The waves were steady, but then this bigger one came along… here it comes!
Wooo, there it is!! Aaaaand, I’m soaked. Clothes, hair, camera and all. Perfect ending!! :)
I love that Jamie got a shot of Mark’s face right after the wave hit! Awesome!
Pam and Mark, we love you!! This was such a fun day :)
Coming up: their rehearsal dinner, amazing destination wedding, and day-after trash the dress at the beach!!
