I met up with Amanda and Steven last weekend in Washington DC. We walked around the Tidal Basin at the Jefferson Memorial and I really feel like I got to know the two of them. Amanda and Steven have known each other since they were kids and even though Steven was the cool kid and Amanda was the nerd (right Steven?) – somehow their paths crossed and they will be tying to knot this April in SOUTH AFRICA!

I could say so many wonderful things about Shalon and Darwin but to keep a long blog post from being any longer, I’ll just say that their wedding was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever been a part of. Seeing two families come together as one has always been my favorite part of being a wedding photographer but the love, honesty, and compassion shared between these two was amazing. Their wedding was held at the Azul Sensatori Resort and Spa in Mexico and I’m so thankful that I (along with my second shooter Daylen Chambliss) was able to capture their day. I know I always say this but I had A LOT of favorites.. so be prepared. These are just of the actual wedding day, the morning after we had another little portrait session at sunrise but that’s an entire blog post on it’s own!![]()

I just got home from shooting Shalon and Dawin’s GORGEOUS destination wedding in Mexico. If you’ve never been to one, photographed one, seen one, etc – you don’t know what you’re missing. It was so much fun! Of course I have tons of photos but for now, I need to catch up on things – like my final exams! I will have a sneak peek of their day up in less than two weeks, I promise.

Even though the day is almost over, I hope you all enjoyed a day with friends, family, and filled tummies (I know I did). I also want to let you know that I will be out of the office until from December 1st – 6th because I will be in Mexico shooting Shalon and Darwin’s destination wedding. I can’t believe I get to wake up everyday, do what I love, and be supported by friends and family. You guys are amazing.
