So as you may have heard, we in the DC Metro area just had another major snowstorm, and as I write this post it’s still snowing pretty heavily. Here are some pictures:

As you may have noticed I’m sort of experimenting with a new more newsier newspaper/reporting/something vibe here and of course I can’t read everything all the time, so I urge you to email or send me a link via twitter to things you might find interesting or newsy things I may have missed so that I can highlight them. 32 years ago today I emerged from my Kryptonian birthing matrix (aka my mom).

Damn it, still no superpowers.

My uncle, who lives in France, sent me these pictures of my trip to London when I was abut 3 yrs old (1981). Pictured are my uncle, paternal grandmother, my mom, my aunt, and my cousin. It will be very difficult for you to guess which one is me.

Also, it is totally out of character for me to be wearing a shirt with a Spider-Man logo on it. Riiight.

At the end of this month I’m going to Europe. It’s basically the first time I’ve been, though I went to England to visit my grandmother when I was like 2. I’ll be going to (tentatively):

Rome, Italy
Venice, Italy
Prague, Czech Republic
Nuremberg, Frankfurt – Germany
London, UK
Dublin, Ireland
Paris, France

Any tips, notes, etc. you have to share would be appreciated. Also, contact info for European supermodels.

So, everything went well with CK’s little procedure. He had been throwing up and was backed up, turned out to be a big time episode of constipation, but at his age (almost 10) he had to go through anesthesia to have it taken care of. Plus I am a big baby when it comes to him. But he’s okay, just a bandage for where they had to put the drugs into him. He is Champion.

I just have to take the rest of the day to pamper him. More than usual, that is.

CK, the weiner dog of infinite justice, is not feeling well and has an emergency medical procedure scheduled in the next couple hours. It isn’t anything life threatening but I’m of course not in a good state of mind on it, he’s never been really ill in any way before. Anyways, good puppy thoughts or prayers please, thanks.

Congrats to my best friend Mark and his wife Vivien who became a mommy again yesterday with the birth of baby Luca.

Mark and I have secret plans to make him an NFL player, somehow.
