Bryan and June Foray Clips in real audio: Listen to Bugs Bunny's encounter with Duck Twacy and the legendary Cicero Pig. Notes: A Capitol Record Reader Recorded on April 21 & 22, 1949 This album was re-released in the 60s and 70s without the attached storybook Beaky Buzzard plays Simple Simon, Daffy reprises his role as Duck Twacy, and Porky and his comic book nephew, Cicero Pig, also show up. Daffy Duck's voice apparently is not sped up. Features the song "What's Up, Doc?" This song would later show up in the 1950 Robert McKimson cartoon, "What's Up, Doc?" Elmer Fudd uses gumdrops instead of real bullets. advertised as: Fabulous Bugs continues his feud with Farmer Fudd and winds up in Storyland, where he meets characters from children's stories, including Little Red Riding Hood, whom Bugs saves from the wolf. Notes: Recorded on May 11, 1950 Some editions of this record spell the title as "Tweetie Pie." Shares its title with the Friz Freleng directed 1947 Academy Award Winner, "Tweetie Pie." Unlike most of the other story records, this one ends with the Merrie Melodies theme. Features an extended version of "I'm a Tweet Little Bird." A variation of this song was used for the title sequence of Friz Freleng's 1951 cartoon, "Puddy Tat Trouble." advertised as: The famous Academy Award winning bird from Warner Brothers' cartoons gives Sylvester, the cat, a frantic run-around! Notes: The cover artwork for this album is done using Chuck Jones' then-current (1961) character designs. Who drew it specifically, I do not know. No. J-3257 May have been released as a way of promoting the Bugs Bunny Show. Golden Records released an LP of songs around the same time period and it also uses Bugs Bunny Show-style cover artwork. Not approved by Bozo.
