Before Mr. Cardigan and I had even thought about registering, I heard a few warnings against registering at certain places. One of those places was Target. From things being unavailable, to trouble returning items, to mysterious items being added, Target’s registry doesn’t really have the best reputation.
However, I love me some Target. It’s one of my favorite stores ever, and when it comes to a nice big chain store, I prefer it to Bed, Bath and Beyond or Macy’s. So, ignoring the warnings, we registered at Target.
Now, I’m not saying that I regret that choice. I love, love, love the items we’ve received off of our Target registry, and I love every item we have left on there. But let’s just say our Target registry hasn’t been the easiest thing to maintain.
Like many brides before me, I’m still a bit in shock that this day is finally here, after planning for it for so long. We’ve spent the last week in a whirlwind of wedding activities concluding with a truly amazing yoga class last night with so many of our favourite people.

There are definitely a lot of emotions surrounding this week and this wedding, but what I feel most is grateful.
I am grateful to have had access to such a wonderful community of brides on this site. Your feedback, suggestions, and kind words have meant so much to me and without all of you this wedding would not be half as nice (or detailed!). I am deeply appreciative and feel honoured to be part of this community.

Aafter the guys and the ladies took pictures separately, we got together for some group fun. We stayed in front of the caboose just because we all loved it as our background.
We all had either boleros or jackets to warm up, but decided to pose just like that. I am actually glad we did because in the pictures you don’t notice that we were actually all kind of cold.

I needed a PWC big time. I was one of those girls that diligently grew out her hair for the wedding, so my hair was way too long and was falling out in the shower from being too heavy. I chose to donate to Pantene’s Beautiful Lengths program because their free wigs go to cancer patients.
To donate, I needed to tie my hair back with an elastic band and bring in a Ziploc bag to put the hair in once it was cut. I was really worried about cutting my hair short because I have a lot of thick, frizzy, out of control wavy hair. When I cut my hair short it tends to poof out at the bottom and I turn into a triangle head.

For Beautiful Lengths, I needed to cut off 8 inches. I made sure my hair was freshly washed, fully dry, and free of product and got the big chop.
