So last week was amazing! We couldn’t have asked for a better response to our site launch and we’re so excited to meet so many awesome vendors. We’ve said this before, but in case you missed it… we really really want our site to be a place for everyone, no matter how new or seasoned, big or small. We know that there are all sorts of budgets when it comes to wedding planning and we hope that you lovely brides out there will be able to come to our site and meet up with a vendor who’s style and price are just what you had in mind.

That being said, let’s say hello to a few new folks we’ve found on the site. It’s kind of like Christmas every day, seeing who’s signed up and looking through the photos. Our very own little advent calendar!

Ivy & Aster: Gorgeous gowns and dresses for maids!

BERJAYA

MaeMae Paperie: Pretty invites with the perfect touch of modern whimsy (She’ll be at Hitched with us this time too. Yay!)

BERJAYA

The Two Man Gentleman Band: aren’t they cute? They are one of two peeps in our Music category at the moment. Which is crazy because it seems like finding good musicians and DJs is so hard for brides. Get in there people!

BERJAYA

Cobblestone Catering: Yummy looking, fancy food from Brooklyn.

BERJAYA

Isn’t this fun? There are plenty more excellent vendors in our Vendors + Venue section. And if you know someone who’s just getting started, but not sure how to get his/her name out there… ahem. Might we recommend our site?

Girls. We’ve got just the thing to make your inspiration-wheels start spinning today. Wait till you see these delicious photos from Megan & Midhat’s beachy destination wedding in Rhode Island! It’s clean and simple but positively bursting with girly details and vintage flair, which is no surprise considering Megan is a talented stylist with an adorable online boutique (pinkclouds) selling vintage couture. How cool is that! Plus, her Dad also owns a fab floral/landscaping company (Blondie’s Treehouse), so he designed all her flowers. Lucky girl!

Of course, all the vintage you see was hand-picked with care by Megan. Let’s gaze, shall we?

The necklace, dress and shoes deserve a serious round of applause. Brilliant styling – elegant and whimsical. And how pretty are the colors?

When it comes to planning, designing, and building a super fabulous wedding – you can’t really get much more perfect than a pair of architects. Insert today’s lovely couple: Liz & Matt, who met in NYC while starting work at the same architecture firm on the same day (it was fate!) Nearly three years later, these two moved to Austin, the perfect place to host their gorgeous wedding, the theme of which is almost as adorable as their story – “a home grown wedding under the stars.”

It’s no surprise that these two talented professionals designed, built, and crafted nearly everything themselves – including all the paper goods, lighting stands, loads of bunting flags, and more. We are officially impressed.

The venue was a beautiful old church structure from the early 1900s. A ceremony held under giant oak trees, a cocktail hour on the neighboring lawn, dinner on the gravel patio, and of course – dancing inside the house. Doesn’t that just sound peeeeerfect?

Can you guess what this delightful seating chart was made out of? An old school bus door! Courtesy of their landlord, who had previously used it as ‘yard art!’  We think this is a much cuter use.

BERJAYA

Those pretty table settings look so classy under the strands of lights with the glossy black chairs and white linens. Liz used Ikea tea towels in lieu of paper napkins (cute idea), along with vintage vases, tablecloths and overlays, and count ‘em SEVENTY sets of vintage silverware. Yeah, wow.

Liz & Matt were devoted to keeping the ceremony as much about family & friends as possible. This beautiful sign was a gift from Matt’s sister, in memory of her husband Chris (Matt’s brother-in-law), who unexpectedly passed away earlier in the year. The quote on the sign, by Chris, was a loving tribute to Liz & Matt and a sweet and playful recount of the early days of their relationship.

What a happy, charming, and lovely event. All the comforts of home with the beauty of Austin’s scenery and weather. Well done, you two, and congrats!

Happy December, lovelies! The holiday season is officially upon us, and in honor, we’ve got the most romantic and creative celebration to show off – Erica & Alan’s New York wedding, styled and flowered by the ever-amazing Poppies & Posies.

The aesthetic was a playful and dark mix of old/new, based on a mood board put together by Erica, with a theme of “the garden of found objects.” Doesn’t that sound amazing? Among the greatness is moss-covered reception tables, a never-ending supply of precious vintage knick-knacks, and some very succulent floral arrangements. Plus, Erica, a copywriter, designed all the invites (printed on vintage handkerchiefs), save the dates, table cards, and programs herself!

We can’t help but say – we love this sequin jacket. Très chic, madame!

Moss is definitely an underrated decor choice – and such a creative and ingenious way to bring the charm of nature indoors (especially useful for winter weddings!)

BERJAYA

Vintage for daaays, we love. Adorable usage of vintage books and children’s wooden block toys – we’re sure each guest felt just a little bit of nostalgia looking at those.

“We did it.” Oh gosh. You sure did. So cute.

BERJAYA

Both bride and groom are self-describe foodies, so decadent and delicious eats were very important. Insert Stuart and Welch, who did a fantastic job with the catering. To top it off, they’re socially conscious too – they donate all remaining food & water to local organizations! Tasty AND charitable.

BERJAYA

The venue (The Foundry) is absolutely terrific, and believe it or not, was not their original choice, but changed at the very last minute! See, sometimes hiccups in plans are a good thing! Everything looks so classy and grown up, and goooorgeous!

BERJAYA

The very definition of beautiful, Erica & Alan. Congrats!
