We've got some huge DVD releases this week (what is it, Christmas or something?). For starters we have mind-bending, dream-invading blockbuster Inception which battles it out with ab-crunching, fang-bearing The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. We've also got a little look at Nicolas Cage in The Sorcerer's Apprentice (sadly without an Alan Sugar cameo) and Shrek Forever After.

The Simpsons executive producer James L. Brooks has declared there's a very good chance we'll get a sequel to 2007's full length Simpsons movie.

Having made the show's fans wait almost twenty years for a big screen outing, The Simpsons Movie went on to take $527million, showing that the dysfunctional family were still as popular after 20 seasons.

Without making an official statement, Brooks has been talking up the sequel to ComingSoon.net: "[W]e're very open to it and we have a beginning notion if we want to do it, but the series always comes first with us. The series is always primary to us."

You're going to have to wait another six months before the movie comes out but here's your first chance to watch some footage and behind-the-scenes action from Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

The plot, as I'm sure you're aware, centres around the continuing adventures of Johnny Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow, who bumps into a mysterious woman from his past (Penelope Cruz). Unsure whether he's in love - or she's just a con artist - Sparrow follows her on a quest to find the fabled Fountain of Youth.

Okay, all fans of Raging Bull, Goodfellas, Casino and any other classic Robert De Niro film... look away now. One of the greatest actors of all time dabbled with his feminine side on US TV this weekend - and, boy, was it weird.

The Oscar-winning actor was the host of US comedy show Saturday Night Live and, in one of the sketches, appeared as the buxom street-talking mother to a terrible rapper. Not only that, he also gets to flirt outrageously with rapper P Diddy. Yes, we know...

As one might expect, The King's Speech dominated the British Independent Film Awards on Sunday, winning five, including Best British Independent Film.

Colin Firth, whose critically acclaimed portrayal of King George VI is expected to win him an Oscar, was awarded Best Actor honours, while co-stars Geoffrey Rush and Helena Bonham Carter won Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress, respectively.

Carey Mulligan snagged the Best Actress prize for her performance in Never Let Me Go. Meanwhile, the sci-fi drama Monsters won an impressive three awards, among them Best Director (Gareth Edwards).

The Footloose star appears in a US advert for Logitech Revue - a magical keyboard which can control your television and internet and will undoubtedly revolutionise the way we interact with social media or something. But really, we're just here for the Bacon.

The Beaver, in which Mel Gibson plays a man who attempts to break out of his lethargy by communicating with the world via a beaver puppet, may seem like an odd comeback vehicle for the actor.

On the other hand, given the amount of buzz the comedy\drama - directed by and co-starring Jodie Foster - has been generating, it could be exactly what Gibson needs to resurrect his career.
