I've featured both wedges and boots before in my shoes series, but since some of you are likely closing in on your winter wedding dates, I thought I'd take on boots wedge form.

(Plus, my current pair of go-to boots are wedges, so I'm a little obsessed.)

So, let's doodle our way through some of my favorite wedged boots for your winter wedding. As always, my choices tend towards loud colors and range from wickedly cheap to WTF-levels of wildly expensive.

I'm using the fact that some of you are planning February weddings as an excuse to indulge my red wedding shoe whims. I started by nosing through red platforms, but it was like a rabbit hole of heels and buckles and sweet smelling leather … the next thing I knew I was peeking at red boots, too. I just knew I wanted red and romance and a bit of kick — mostly platforms, but a few not. And even one not-red-at-all boot that was just too cute to pass up.

A few months ago, I featured some of my favorite shoes from Modcloth.com. But their inventory comes and goes quickly, so I figured it was time to revisit their collection and see what was up OBB's alleys.

If it's September, that means those of you planning your Spring 2011 weddings are really starting to hone in on your planning, which means we must talk rain boots.

Ooh, wedding shoes covered in feathers. And wings! And more feathers.

So yes, I normally go for the very loud, very colorful shoes. But this week I thought I'd try white. Bridal white. White shoes that still pack a wollop and make you go FUCK YEAH WEDDING SHOES.

Oh, yellow shoes. You match with the leaves of an autumn wedding, compliment the grays of a winter wedding, brighten the day of a spring wedding, and shine like the sun for a summer wedding.

It's no secret that the ladies love to rock the peacockiness these days — we've seen peacock bouquets, fans, color schemes, and more. In keeping, I decided to offer up a few of my favorite peacock wedding shoes.
