If you asked anyone with half a brain whether or not tattoos were permanent, they would say yes. OF COURSE you CAN remove them, but based on the general perception of tattoos, this is very valid irony.

I think the idea isn’t that the tattoo is permanent, and therefore creates a contradiction. I think the irony is that most people believe tattoos are permanent, and then think, “Ohay, this is ironic,” but in reality the tattoo is absolutely correct.

It looks like Henna[1] to me. Henna is a non-permanent tatto.
