It’s college and that means freedom from high school drama and the same boring old people. We know as you were taking the tours, you were checking out the different sights of college, not the library and the student union, but the male/female ratio (to say the least) . Relationships are the last thing on your mind and for good reason, so here is why you should stay single.
If you are going to take advantage of one thing during your college career, hands-down it should be studying abroad. Traveling to a different country to “study” and moving into your own space for six months will help you grow up, learn how to do a great accent, and change your life. There is no other time in your life where an opportunity like this will come along, and if you can afford it, don’t hesitate to sign up. Here are four reasons why you should study abroad.
If you saw Paranormal Activity in theaters last year, then you know the drill. It’s like any other run-of-the-mill theater going experience, that is, until we see things from the camera’s point of view. Once we see that night-vision, grainy footage fill up the screen and the seconds start ticking by on the bottom right side of the frame, all hell breaks loose. You immediately hear a chorus of yells saying “Oh shit, oh shit!”, people shushing each other, and of course that one guy in the theater who just has to make wise-cracks. It’s like a collective conscious takes hold of the theater, controlling what we do (theater demon, maybe?).
It’s been 10 years since we’ve last seen Ghostface…but finally, come April 15th, he’s back, along with a fresh new group of victims. And what does a new generation mean? New rules to surviving a horror movie, of course! If you’re a fan of the horror genre, it’s hard not to love, at least, the first two Scream movies. Most people can agree that the 3rd one bombed…but if you’re fearing the same fate for the 4th addition to the franchise, fear not! Writer Kevin Williamson who wrote the first two movies is back with director Wes Craven for Scream 4! That means it’s safe to expect the same hysterical one-liners that made all of us fall in love with the first one…along with the fantastically creepy lines as well (who can ever forget their reaction the first time they heard Ghostface respond to the question “why do you want to know my name?” with “because I want to know who I’m looking at”?!)
It’s that time of year again. The girls dress as slutty as possible. You binge on chocolate and candy. And if you’re like me, you crave a good scare…and what better way to get just that, than popping in a good scary movie to watch with all of your friends? If you’re looking for some suggestions, look no further:
It’s that time in the semester: Midterms have rolled around and it seems like the only scenery you’re used to is the inside of your room or the library. You’re hopped up on caffeine, you haven’t slept in ages, your professors suck more than ever and all you want is to do well. Because of this stress-mess you yell a lot more at friends, family, and even your boyfriend/girlfriend. Let’s admit it, we all know that being around someone when they are in that mode is completely unpleasant, so here are some ways to relax/change things up.
