Warlock T13 Bonuses Babble

Warlocks did not receive a lot of love this expansion what with mana drain being removed, our pets gone awry, and our new and fresh mechanic being as interesting as the extra bags slots said mechanic saved us. I completed  my four piece T13 several weeks ago and to fully utilize it I decided to unspec out of my long time favourite spec of Demonology and go back to my originaln spec of Destruction, which actually uses (if not forced to) Soulfire in its rotation.

Warlock T13 Bonuses

2 Piece - The cooldown of our Summon Infernal/Doomguard is reduced by 4 minutes down to 6 minutes. And they fight for an additional 30 seconds.

4 Piece - Soulburn grants us 10% spellpower for 10 seconds. And Soulfires cast with soulburn return a soul shard.

What does it mean?

Well, I see the warlock T13 as a merely a means of "fixing" our mechanics a little bit to satiate us until the next expansion. (Though the creepy tentacley face design is awesome). The cooldown for our guardians was way too long and did not reset when we died, which makes the 2P pretty much as mandatory as a mandatory talent point that one should obtain. No good. Though this change allows me to use my guardian more frequently rather than saving it for fights where I know we won't die within the next 10 minutes. The 2 piece is pretty much a "fix".

The four piece bonus is interesting, it pretty much gives us another short cooldown, a very nice touch and it builds into the Destruction rotation very well. The free soulfire every 45 seconds sometimes lands just at the right time so that I don't have to hardcast a soulfire (improved soulfire qq anyone?). The 4 piece is pretty much a "fix" to make us use soulburn more often.

How I see the 4 piece bonus for demonology and affliction is that they will also be burning off their soulburns with soulfires just for the hell of it to get their soul shard back. This would be rather odd since affliction never uses soulfire, and demonology only uses it during decimation phase. Perhaps I shall just macro soulburn + soulfire together and forget about it, the only other time I use it is for seed of corruption in affliction mode or to bring back my silly pet from the nether.

I also won't be going back to Demonology until Mists of Pandaria, when my Felguard or new demon reigns supreme and not just an AOE slave.

Mummified Thing!
After many months of digging and digging and vendoring Oasis Sketches, I finally came upon a streak of Uldum digs yesterday which led to a brand new never been seen before project! The archaeology panel initially shows the Crawling Claw as a gorilla paw of sorts, and when I first saw that I thought that they had added a new mummified gorilla companion, which would have been awesome as well! As seen above, my spirit bear had accompanied me on this latest long and boring digging trek and protected me from all the silly low level mobs that would decide to attack us.

Forced to Collect

Mounts and companions collected and purchased for the sake of having them. Tell that to the creepy goblin Cupid pet from the Love Day celebrations going on. That thing is so ugly and just...creepy!

Alas, my concerns are about the Big Pink Lovebird that which is the new addition to our festivities and stables. A giant pink strider, which at one point in time only hunters could have obtained as real "live" companions.

My warrior is doing a great job as being the "official farmer of stuff" for me, and he is about 150 tokens short from purchasing this pink monstrosity, for the sake of purchasing it.

Of course my hunter will be the one to receive it and add it to his stable slot, but so what? Will I ever use this odd pink ground mount? Perhaps for giggles, but otherwise it'll take a back-seat to the drakes as always, however my mount count will go up by +1 and perhaps will aid me in "accomplishing" a future "achievement" in MoP which requires us to collect 200 mounts.

Forced to collect, against our will!

Bruny reporting in! My weapon collection is almost complete, with the inclusion of Souldrinker that fell out of Deathwing's bum, my warrior purpose has been fulfilled (to obtain many many melee weapons).

The ever elusive Gurthalak still evades my grasp (despite seeing THREE drop on my priest), and once one of my three melee-able toons obtain it I will be done the game. Though now I am having second thoughts that I might just eliminate Gurthalak from my list, as I've found playing as a tank more fun than melee. Then again my DK does use 2H for tanking....bah!!

But anyhow, my warrior. Tanking. Yes. It's fun and visceral and angry! Despite not having a shield slam, or death grip a warrior makes up for the lack of ranged-savers (save for heroic throw or whatever it's called) by being absolutely mobile with charges and leaps and aoe's!

Rend, and thunderclap. It's so simple and effective, spread your rends, then you're good to go to press whatever you want since threat is no longer an issue in the world of tanking. With all the explosions and earth cracking, I find that the warrior has one of the best visual feedbacks of all the tanks and also less hypnotizing than a paladin. Don't get me wrong a paladin is fun to tank with as well but after a while you end up zoning out just waiting for your three holy powers.

But anyways, the 4th Main has been chosen!
