04. 29. 2009 Melodie Collection from Thoughtful Day
Its always a thrill for me to see a good friend do something amazing like start a business…Erica and I have been chatting about this day for a while, so I’m glad to finally be able to introduce Thoughtful Day to you! Erica has designed a line of wedding stationery that is mix and match, so that each is customized to your own tastes without going custom!
The Melodie Collection allows couples to mix or match their letterpressed wedding invitation suites. The option is completely up to them. This allows couples to not only come up with their own unique collection, but also pick a collection that will fit within their budget. The collection prices are not fixed, which allows couples to be creative with not only the look of their wedding invitation suite but also the price. The Melodie Collection can work with all budgets! You may opt to pick a two color letterpressed invitation and a one color letterpressed rsvp to help with cost, the freedom to choose is what the Melodie Collection is all about. All four of the themes work mixed together or completely matched. The choice is yours! There are three shown colorways, but custom colors are available as well.
I’m in love with all Erica’s work and know you will be too, so head over to Thoughtful Day and check everything out! [Did you know she did the B-List branding AND my own wedding totes too??] So proud of you girl! Check out the blue colorway over at 100 Layer Cake.
As for me, I’m taking the rest of the week off…planning a conference is not easy work and I need a little breather! I’ll be back on Monday…

04. 28. 2009 Real wedding: Sara + Matt
This wedding sent from Jenny Jimenez is not only fabulously stylish, but hilarious as well! I wish I had a smoking lobster at my wedding!
Sara & Matt were married on Naragansett Bay in Rhode Island during Hurricane Hanna. The day started out innocently, with the eye of the storm keeping us half dry for the ceremony, cocktail hour and through the start of their lobster bake dinner (lobster!!) from McGrath Clambakes in Newport. By the time the wind and rain resumed we were dancing too hard to care. If you weren’t soaked by the rain, you were soaked with sweat. These are my kind of people!
Both Sara & Matt had their wedding attire custom made for them, with Sara in a tea stained Mary Adams creation and Matt in a gray Addison & Steele suit with purple lining. The guys wore white Nikes with purple swooshes. They donated to Save the Bay in lieu of favors.
Yes, that is one of their guests trying to eat the bridal bouquet.

04. 27. 2009 Introducing The B-List
This past weekend, Anne of From I Will to I Do and I co-hosted a bridal blogger event here in Brooklyn…to explain a little bit, it was a small get together meant to really introduce ourselves in person to our favorite bloggers, talk about blogging and weddings, share tips and ideas that have helped our blogs, and provide overall support. Afterwards, we held a vendor meet and greet, since many of us had written about these people but had never met them in person. The event was a smashing success, and hopefully, the B-List can grow into an event we host all over the US, and maybe spark some offshoot events in lots of cities so we can get to know more people in the industry. We’re so incredibly grateful for all the bloggers who traveled as far out as the west coast to attend, and of course, to our sponsors who made this all possible. I’ll cover some stuff here, and the rest will be on the B List blog (pictures will be up shortly).
