The 2010 playoffs are right around the corner. Before they get under way, it's time for the entire MLB FanHouse crew to peer into their respective crystal balls and take a stab at what will happen in the coming weeks. It's a tale of two leagues. We can't agree on what will happen in the AL, with every postseason participant picked at least once to appear in the World Series, but we're pretty certain what will happen on the other side of the draw. Only one brave soul picked a team other than the reigning league champion Phillies to appear in the Fall Classic for the NL.
Read on below to see all of our picks, then leave your own in the comments and tell us where we went wrong.

Reds to shock the world like 1990!! Yankees v Reds in series!! Reds Brandon Phillips Surprise MVP!!!
Nope...Reds vs. Twins in the World Series. Two underdogs with the Reds taking it all!!! Go BRUCE!!!
great call, the Reds are going to win it all!
braves dont need JJ. We have Hudson, Lowe, and Hanson. We only need those three in the first series since it is only three games
GO BRAVES!
just takes a team to get hot, so who knows :)
Don't discount the Reds too soon. Remember 1990?? GO REDS!!!
yankees and phillies, repeat series and repeat winner, Yanks in 6 (again)
brad lidge the world series mvp? well he did say the yankees were the deepest team. what an idiot. hope he doesnt put money on his predictions
I WANT EVERYONE TO SIT BACK AND WATCH THE THREE OUTSTANDING PITCHERS AND A HITTING LINE UP , THE BEST TEAM THE PHILLIES HAVE EVER PUT TOGETHER 1 THRU 9 !~~! THERE CATCHER IS THE BEST ALL AROUND PLAYER EVER !!!!
You can't actually be serious?
Ruiz has a .302, .400, .447, 847 Line (Avg, OBP, SLG, OPS)
Joe Mauer has a .327, .402, .469, .871 Line, beating Ruiz in every catagory. Mauer also calls his own game on the field, is widely considered the best defensive catcher, and has more home runs, RBI's and walks. This isn't even a contest, and it is widely considered somewhat of a down year for Mauer. Its good that you've got a favorite player but being your favorite played doesn't put him in the contest for the best all around player in the game, he's probably not even in the top 25 in that catagory.
I AGREE WITH 100% YANKEES IN SIX OR LESS.
FROM DAVID THE MAVEN FROM WOODMERE NY
No Yankees....No Phillies....That is my hope
Hey tripper Mets suck, there going nowhere !!!!!!!
Phillies. Phillies. Phillies!!!!
Go RAYS!!!!!!!!!!
With the way the Phillies played out September with over 20 wins and the top pitchers in H2O I can't see anyone beating them at this point. Especially when you have to face the H2O pitchers twice in a seven game series and forget about a five game series when that's all you will see on the mound. Plus they have such a potent lineup that can put up a lot of runs in a hurry. GO PHILLIES!!!
I agree,i dont see a REDS team, without the level of pitching, standing in PHILLIES way.I am a GRAND nephew,of ADOLFO LUQUE.And as any baseball fan, know that dominant, pitching from a team that been there before has the advantage. No butterflies.Today PRICE of TAMPA displayed the b-flies.He faced a true pitcher and was out gunned.HALLADAY opened up with a dominance that will make any one shiver.I dont see any team in this post that can out gun PHILLY.LINCECUM is the one that can come a bit close, but not close enough. He dropped his performance ,late in year when its most needed.STEVE,PHILLIES WILL WIN SERIES
PHILLIES!!! theyre WERTH it, they CHASE after what they want, and they'll have a nice HALLADAY once they win.
I live in the Philadelphia area, and there is way too much hype, I think the Minnesota Twins will win the World Series, and I think the Phillies will fall in the second series, whoever they play, way too much hype, the people that live here should be happy they have one, and went again last year, remember the year the St. Louis Cardinals won 100 games? They also had the best record in MLB, guess what, they were knocked out in the first series, just something to check out.
