The Financial Core

BERJAYAAttention, New Yorkers: the Forum for Urban Design has another big event coming up, this time on Tuesday, May 22, from 5:30-7:30pm, at the Museum of Modern Art.
Specifically, there will be a panel discussion featuring urban planners from New York City, Singapore, Toronto, London, Vancouver, and Boston – so it sounds like it could be an awesome event.
Of course, more information is available on the Forum's website.
And if you do go, let me know how it was...

For posts older than a few days,

this takes a few hours. Thanks!

"The Global City's Financial Core"?

Are they assuming that major cities cannot foster urbanism without a high-finance-oriented business district, a la Wall Street?

Or is it about the economic underpinnings of urbanism -- a more interesting subject, IMO?
