BLDGBLOG: Solar Cinema

Solar Cinema

BERJAYAAny BLDGBLOG readers out there who want to see a movie tonight: my friend Christopher and I are going to see Sunshine at 8pm at the new renovated Landmark Cinema in west L.A. (10850 W. Pico Blvd.). If you want to meet up, you can buy tickets here (try to sit in Row N) – but send me an email if you think you're coming ("bldgblog," minus the quotation marks, at gmail dot com).
Unfortunately, the place has assigned seating, so it might actually be a little difficult to arrange this – but hey: if anyone out there likes science fiction, Friday night films, Danny Boyle, Alex Garland, or even just the new renovated cinema at Pico and Westwood, it could be fun.
Meanwhile, check out some old solar posts on BLDGBLOG: The uttermost reaches of solar influence, Solar Organ / Sky Piano, God is Light, and so on – with this page, about tsunamis rolling across the surface of the sun, also worth a quick read.

For posts older than a few days,

this takes a few hours. Thanks!

Hey you are three months late! Here in London, we saw it 3 months ago, and have forgotten about it! OK visually it's very good. But the plot sucks. Not a good result in the end. It's a shame. I guess it must be hell of a difficulty to see a British movie in LA, but, you'd better see The last king of Scotland than that. Tell me what you think... Though you must be already trapped in it at this hour! Clouseau

Long time listener, first time caller.

I love your site, and I'll be there, I just booked seat N5, too.

Cool, Michael - I'll look for you. Probably won't be hard to see you... we're in seats N2 and N3, I think.

And, Clouseau, I've definitely heard mixed reviews about this movie - but I'm excited to see it, anyway. Thanks for the warning, though.
