Haunted streets of London

October30

Her mind was at ease as she gracefully walked
Through the streets of London at night
As the air stood still and her limbs got cold
She remained calm but clenched her fists tight
The silence, the silence; it deafened her slowly
Her vision was blurred so she picked up her pace
Her heartbeats were brutal like never before
Fearful tears began to flood her face

Her legs were brittle; she collapsed to the ground
A warm mist brushed the back of her neck
She kept saying ‘don’t look back keep walking’
Ditching her moral sense she turned to check
Mistake; a large mistake: it was repulsive a filthy sight!
Its gazed just like a predator, waiting for it’s pray
She wiped her tears gripped the floor
And prepared herself to run away!

Her heart stopped as she ran for her life
She saw a building and stumbled inside
She lost it; for now but not for ever
It is after her, she cannot always hide
What did she expect? Peace? Harmony?
She should have known, she should have seen
Nothing ends well in the haunted streets on London
On the dreaded day of Halloween!

Mother of mine

October25

She holds my hands during the time
that the whole world turns away!
When I am at my very worst
She knows exactly what to say

Her heart of gold is priceless;
No one else’s could compare
She is a woman of pure wonders
And a soul like hers is rare

She is the equivalent of an angel
And has the beauty of pure light
I know that she is a precious gift
So I thank God for her day and night

If you look deep into her eyes
You will know she is intensely divine
My life and soul are completed
Because of that mother of mine!

Couplet Poems

October16

Couplet poems are very easy to write and great fun to read. They are made up of two lines that must rhyme. They can be of any subject so there is no limit on what you can write them about. There is not a set amount of syllables needed for couplet poems. It is suitable for any age especially young children. It would be great if everyone has a go at writing their own couplet poems. Here are some of my own; I hope you enjoy reading them :)

Your eyes

Just like the summer skies
There is beauty in your eyes

Joy

When joy flows all within me
I know this was meant to be

Appreciate

You should appreciate and not complain
Because all it does is cause more pain

Nature

In winter nature falls into a deep sleep
Then wakes up in spring, beautiful and neat

Harvest

When harvest comes the crops are full
Winter then interferes to keep them cool

Autumn is unique art

October7

Autumn is unique art
And no other can compare
The leaves abandon their homes
And swiftly float in the air

When they fall down to the ground
Beauty reaches our eyes
Because all we see is greatness
Nature is not fake there is no lies

And when that sun begins to set
And the shadows start to fade
Don’t let the night just pass you by
Not seeing the beauty God has made

So autumn has just got to be
My favorite season of them all
Because I can just sit back
And watch them colours fall

A boot on her head!

October1

There was once a young lady
Who wore a boot on her head
‘Why on earth do you do that?’
A wise man once said
She replied with such eager
‘oh I do hate the rain’
So with a boot on her head
Dry she’d remain
Then she smiled and waved
And said bye to this fellar
But he called her back and asked
‘Why not an umbrella’
She giggled a little
Then said ‘to be fair
No matter how high I hold it
It gets caught on my hair’
Last but not least he shouted
‘Woman why not a hat?’
She scratched her head and said
‘I hadn’t thought of that
!’

Divine Joy

September23

When hatred shattered my heart
I just swiftly moved away
When your eyes burnt through my soul
I was way to scared to stay

When whispers surrounded the air
I held my ears- oh so tight
When I tried to confront you
I was over took by fright

Now I notice my mistakes
And I wish I’d always known
That nothing can camouflage
Your evil heart of stone

None of your actions will give you
A greater pleasure than mine
Because love, kindness and hope
Is a joy that’s simply divine

Now that you are gone.

September13

Now that you are gone
I regret that with my tender eye:
I didn’t embrace your gentle smile
But I just let it pass me by

Now that you are gone
I wish that when you hugged me,
I filled my lungs with your sweet scent
Instead of moaning awfully

Now that you are gone
I wish that your love I didn’t slaughter
Because you treated me so well
As a friend and a granddaughter

Now that you are gone
I know how much time we did spend
And I understand that every beginning
Must always have an end

Acrostic Poems

September4

Brother

Being my gentle crucial guide
Remarkable advise you always provide
Overall, in you: a role model has been found
Total happiness flies when you’re around
Helping me is what you kindly do
Especially in the days when I feel blue
Remember that forever I will love you

What if my love is never more than just a song?

August27

My love flows in your veins
Like the blood that we need so much
And it is vicious like electricity
It can hurt you at first touch

It crawls up your heart like a spider
So quiet, crafty and precise
And can freeze your fragile soul
Just like the miraculous solid: ice

More than that just like a song
That you can’t get out your mind
It can control you to the limit
That you’re emotionally blind

But what if my love
is never more than just a song?
What if you never write the lyrics?
Just happily sing along

Or maybe one lonely day
My love will be out of tune
Will it sink to the bottom of your heart?
Like a worthless balloon

Or just like the songs today
Will it get out of date?
And will my love once filled with joy
Be quickly filled with hate?

Their selfless ways have opened my eyes

July28

They have raised me up
To be the person I am today
They do everything that is possible
To make me happy in every way

The queen of their universe
They have crowned me
And our love towards each other
Holds no complexity

It is only pure love
With nothing artificial in sight
Simply hope, passion, desire and trust
No jealousy hatred or despite

Since a very young age
They have encouraged me to believe
That no matter what any one says
What I want I can achieve

Their selfless ways have opened my eyes
To appreciate everything they do
And now that I am aware of their effort
I shall do much more for them too
