About Chally

by Chally

Chally's hair

Chally is one of those scary, scary feminists you’ve heard about. She was born and lives in Sydney, Australia, and identifies as a non-white disabled woman, among other things. She has only considered herself a feminist since 2007, but has been a feminist in her soul since long before that.

She’s a great reader, presently particularly of feminist science fiction. Her favourite writers from the genre are Ursula K. Le Guin and James Tiptree, Jr. She knits a lot and also has a pile of French knitting called Josie over 300 metres long. Chally never misses an episode of Doctor Who or Grey’s Anatomy, because she is like that. She is also into baked goods, all things theatrical and making the world a better place.

She also blogs at FWD/Forward (a disabled feminists’ blog) and Radical Readers (a feminist online bookclub) as well as at her individual blog, Zero at the Bone. (Social justice! Amusement! A lovely commentariat! ZatB has it all.) Not to mention that she has a Twitter account as well as a tumblr. You can email her at chally [dot] zeroatthebone [at] gmail [dot] com, and please do!
