Just because a film has stood the test of time and come to be adored by generations of movie fans doesn't mean everybody loved it when it came out. 

Sometimes, people even hated these classics, and said so, in print.

Which critic, for example, writing for the New York Times upon the 1980 release of The Empire Strikes Back called it "about as personal as a Christmas card from a bank?" Here's a hint, it was the same guy who greeted the release of The Godfather Part Two by calling it almost "a self parody" with "insights that are fairly lame."

The internet is a constantly updated collection of human input, so it's interesting to see the topics that keep popping up here, without logic or sense. These things aren't necessarily bad, but a dose of moderation just may be in order.

On Season Four of AMC’s Mad Men, Don Draper started the season out with a bang; he slept with his secretary. And then all but pretended it never happened.
