WWP Activities in Germany

Image

WWPs presence in Germany gives us the unique opportunity to reach out to 100% of warriors evacuated from the OIF/OEF mission due to an air-evacuation hub at Ramstein Air Force Base. By providing warriors with useful comfort items branded with the WWP logo, we are able to touch each warrior and provide a way for them to find us when they are ready to learn more about our programs and services. In addition, WWP provides resiliency activities, peer mentor training, benefits counseling, and much more to support wounded warriors, caregivers, and hospital staff in Germany.

Wounded Warriors Honored At Collegiate Sporting Events

Take a look at video footage of warriors being honored on the field at a recent Florida State University home football game against Boston College. Events like this are coordinated through a partnership between Wounded Warrior Project and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA). These events are often the only public recognition these warriors receive and their participation helps to raise awareness of their sacrifice and enduring spirit, which inspires administrators, coaches, student-athletes, alumni, and fans.
