The Department of Education has awarded $500,000 to Kenny Gamble, a Muslim convert accused of trying to build an African-American Islamic enclave in Pennsylvania, reports Islamist-Watch.org. Gamble, who now goes by the name of Luqman Abdul Haqq, is also connected to an organization that dresses up Muslim children in combat attire and gives them combat and firearms training.

The grants are being awarded to individuals who �create plans to provide cradle-to-career services that improve the educational achievement and healthy development of children,� says the Education Department�s press release. The grant is being given to Gamble�s organization, Universal Community Homes.

Paris, France (CNN) -- Saudi Arabian intelligence services are warning of a new terrorist threat from al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula targeting Europe, especially France, French Interior Minister Brice Hortefeux said in a radio interview Sunday.

"Several days ago the Saudi services alerted their European counterparts that there was a terrorist threat on the continent, notably in France, coming from al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula," Hortefeux told RTL Radio. The message indicated the branch of al Qaeda was active or about to become active in Europe.

"The threat is real and our vigilance is intact," he said. France's terror alert level is at Reinforced Red, the second-highest level below Scarlette Red. "Vigilance is total," Hortefeux said.

At least two attacks were foiled in France in the past year, and 61 people are currently jailed for suspected involvement in terrorism, the interior minister said.

US Rep. Gregory Meeks scolded immigration officials for questioning a Muslim scholar whose nonprofits have been linked to financing terrorism.

The Queens Democrat contacted federal agencies -- finally appealing to then-Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff -- asking why Anwar Hajjaj faced "unwarranted scrutiny" when he returned to the United States from trips abroad through JFK Airport.

Meeks described Hajjaj as a "highly regarded" professor of Islamic studies who leads Friday Muslim prayers at the Capitol.

Meeks said Hajjaj was "a pioneer in distance-based learning of Islam" through the American Open University in Virginia, according to a copy of the Sept. 30, 2006, letter to Chertoff, which was obtained by The Post under a Freedom of Information Act request.

But The Post has learned Hajjaj also headed the Taibah International Aid Association, a charity that has been accused of funding Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda. The group was co-founded by Abdullah A. bin Laden, Osama bin Laden's nephew, who has been investigated for his ties to groups that have funded al Qaeda and Hamas.

Hajjaj is also director of another Virginia-based nonprofit, the World Assembly of Muslim Youth International, or WAMY. It was also founded by bin Laden's nephew and said to support al Qaeda. The group's 2005 federal tax form, the most recent available, is signed by Hajjaj, who is listed as director.

A Republican who is running for a House seat in southeast Queens, attacked Democrat incumbent Gregory Meeks as a "scandal-ridden, terrorist-loving congressman" in a Jewish newspaper ad this week, complete with a photo of Osama Bin-Laden.

Asher Taub's ad in the Five Towns Jewish Times says Meeks was "so concerned about Muslim preachers who head terrorist charities that were being put through extra security at our airports that he personally interceded for them with the Bush White House."

In a phone interview on Tuesday, Taub told The Jewish Week he was referring to a Sept. 19 report in the New York Post that Meeks had written a letter to then-homeland security secretary Michael Chertoff in September, 2006, complaining that Anwar Hajjaj, director of the Virginia-based World Assembly of Muslim Youth International, faced "unwarranted scrutiny" at JFK Airport when he returned from foreign trips. Hajjaj leads Friday Muslim prayers at the Capitol.

Another common myth about the 'Religion of Peace':

The Myth:

The Qur�an places men and women on equal foundation before Allah. Each person is judged according to his or her own deeds. Women have equal rights under Islamic law.

The Truth:

Merely stating that individuals will be judged as such by Allah does not mean that they have equal rights and roles, or that they are judged by the same standards.

There is no ambiguity in the Qur�an, the life of Muhammad, or Islamic law as to the inferiority of women to men despite the efforts of modern-day apologists to salvage Western-style feminism from scraps and fragments of verses that have historically held no such progressive interpretation.

After military conquests, Muhammad would dole out captured women as war prizes to his men. In at least one case, he advocated that they be raped in front of their husbands. Captured women were made into sex slaves by the very men who killed their husbands and brothers. There are four Qur�anic verses in which "Allah" makes clear that a Muslim master has full sexual access to his female slaves, yet there is not one that prohibits rape.

The Qur�an gives Muslim men permission to beat their wives for disobedience, but no where does it command love in marriage. It plainly says that husbands are �a degree above� wives. The Hadith says that women are intellectually inferior, and that they comprise the majority of Hell�s occupants.

Under Islamic law, a man may divorce his wife at his choosing. If he does this twice, then wishes to remarry her, she must first have sex with another man. Men are exempt from such degradations.

Muslim women are not free to marry whom they please, as are Muslim men. Their husband may also bring other wives (and slaves) into the marriage bed. And she must be be sexually available to him at any time (as a field ready to be �tilled,� according to the holy book of Islam).

Muslim women do not inherit property in equal portion to males. Their testimony in court is considered to be worth only half that of a man�s. Unlike a man, she must cover her head - and often her face.

If a woman wants to prove that she was raped, then there must be four male witnesses to corroborate her account. Otherwise she can be jailed or stoned to death for confessing to �adultery.�

Given all of this, it is quite a stretch to say that men and women have �equality under Islam� based on obscure theological analogies or comparisons. This is an entirely new ploy that is designed for modern tastes and disagrees sharply with the reality of Islamic law and history.

Muslims gather in Washington for Islam on Capitol Hill(thanks Bartender for link)

Hundreds of Muslims turned out Friday for a new annual event in Washington called Islam on Capitol Hill, the event's organizer said Saturday.

The event saw hundreds of Muslim children touring the halls of Congress, hours of prayers and speeches on the Capitol lawn, and a banquet at a hotel off the National Mall.

"It's important for young Muslims to understand the beauty of this country - that this is a land of freedom, even though there may be people objecting to building a mosque in New York or threatening to burn the Quran," said Abdul Malik, the event's organizer.

Malik said the event began last year and that he plans to continue holding it each year from now on.

He said Islam on Capitol Hill is aimed primarily at Muslim youth.

Sounds like a bit of a double standard if you ask me.

Why? Because, according to some Muslims, Islam forbids images. There are no images, only lovely designs, in mosques. Until now, the West has been terrorized by Islamic fatwas, (death edicts), for publishing cartoons of Muhammed, God�s messenger. But heroic cartoon representations of God Himself are apparently acceptable.

It is definitely a double-standard of hypocritical proportions. But the violent outrage we've seen was really never about drawings of Muhammad. It was about intimidation. And with intimidation is the only way Islam can survive.

Let's not forget the most applicable name for Allah - the Deceiver.

Now Ball has a missive up at the Huffington Post comparing herself to Hillary Clinton and bastardizing history on why Bill Clinton was impeached in the first place.

(Hint: it wasn�t because he was serviced by a Gap fan in the Oval Office. Lying under oath in a sexual harassment case is illegal.)

Singer Abu Rateb (aka Mohamad Mustapha Ali Masfaka) plead guilty to lying to federal officials about his involvement with the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF):

United States Attorney Barbara L. McQuade announced today that Mohamad Mustapha Ali Masfaka, a 47 year old native of Syria, entered a plea of guilty in federal court in Detroit to a charge of Making False Statements Under Oath in Naturalization Proceedings, a five year felony. Masfaka was arrested on January 22, 2010 by U.S. Customs and Border Protection when he attempted to enter the United States from Canada via the Ambassador Bridge. The guilty plea was tendered before United States District Judge Paul D. Borman.

The Indictment charged Mohamad Masfaka, also known as Abu Rateb, who is a singer throughout the Middle East, with lying to federal officials about his involvement with the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF), an organization that was designated by the U.S. Department of Treasury on December 4, 2001, as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist.

Mexican cartels planned to send armed assassins into Arizona this spring to eradicate bandits who were stealing drugs from smugglers, according to a Department of Homeland Security intelligence report disclosed Friday by the Pinal County Sheriff's Office.

The intelligence email, sent May 13, warned law enforcement agencies that rival cartels had agreed to the plan after a meeting in Rocky Point, Mexico. "Once the bandits have been identified, the sicarios (assassins) will take out the bandits," says the memo.

DHS spokesman Matthew Chandler on Friday responded that the intelligence report "proved to be inaccurate."

"At this time," he said, "DHS does not have any specific, credible information on intra-cartel violence taking place in Arizona."

The Sheriff's news release includes a copy of the alert which was deemed "law enforcement sensitive," and which credits the information to a "proven, credible, confidential source"[...]

Babeu, who has been seeking money for counter-smuggling operations, said the intelligence memo proves that Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano "knows exactly what the citizens of Arizona are faced with, yet she continues to publicly state how much safer we all are."

A New York man has been charged with lying to FBI agents about a fake terrorism plot in the United States, US authorities said on Friday.

Syed Omair Ali was charged with making false statements to the FBI between May and October about three individuals who he said had connections to militants in Pakistan and discussed possible targets in New York, according to an FBI affidavit.

One law enforcement official said Ali's false information in part sparked concerns by US intelligence officials that an operative for the Pakistani Taliban militant group had entered the United States to launch an attack as reported by Fox News on Thursday

The terror threat was unearthed from the second edition of Al-Qaeda's English-language magazine 'Inspire'.

"A random hit at a crowded restaurant in Washington, D.C., at lunch hour might end up knocking out a few government employees," the New York Daily News quoted Yahya Ibrahim, as having written in the 74-page propaganda magazine.

"Targeting such employees is paramount and the location would also give the operation additional media attention," he added.

According to a copy of the magazine obtained by the SITE intelligence group, Al-Qaeda also urged those bent on murdering for Islam to use everything from pickup trucks to improvised pressure-cooker bombs to kill.

So there we have the basis for complaints that should convince Automatic to suspend this user. All we need is a place to send the complaints.

Shawqi Ali al Bandani and Mohammed Ali Abdullah Haydar al-Nashiri were accused "of forging official documents and hiding escapees from the political security prison in Aden, who are accused of attacking the USS Cole Destroyer. The cell is also accused of possessing weapons and explosives in addition obtaining identity cards and passports." The 16 man cell were all released on time served or acquitted of the charges in 2007.

A WOMAN of Pakistani origins has been killed, and her daughter gravely injured in Italy following a family row over an arranged marriage earlier this month.

The daughter, 20-year-old Nosheen Butt, was hospitalised with head injuries and a broken arm after her 19-year-old brother beat her with a stick in the courtyard of their building in Novi, near the northern city of Modena.

According to Modena prosecutors� initial findings, the father Ahmad Khan Butt, a 53-year-old construction worker, threw his wife to the ground and beat her with a brick while the brother Umair attacked his sister. The father had been in Italy less that 10 years and was the owner of the local mosque.

Texas � A soldier who recorded the terror of last year's deadly shooting rampage in Fort Hood using his cell phone was ordered by an officer to delete both videos, a military court heard Friday.
Under cross examination, Pfc. Lance Aviles told an Article 32 hearing that his noncommissioned officer ordered him to destroy the two videos on Nov. 5, the same day that a gunman unleashed a volley of bullets inside a processing center at the Texas Army post.

Remember that "work related incident" in Iran the other day? It looks like it wasn't so work related after all. I know it's a DEBKA report, but someone sent me an MSM article yesterday reporting pretty much the same thing. Only I got busy and forgot to link it.

Somehow, a mysterious hand rigged three blasts in quick succession deep inside those tunnels, destroying a large number of launchers and causing enough damage to render the facility unfit for use.
