The website has had a face lift, the wiring has been redone and that faint smell from the basement has been masked. The Doozers have done a great job, I’m sure you’ll agree. This looks like one of them websites that them real people have.
It’s still the same old me, I’m afraid, but it looks nicer and I hope it will be a better reading experience for you. In just a few days normal service will resume. And soon I’ll be back with an update on where you can buy my stuff. I’m in three anthologies that you can pay for with actual money, so prepare for my attempt at world domination.
In the meantime, here’s a photo that I like. It was taken by the gurrl, who’s damn good at that sort of thing. Why a picture of a guitar? Well, because it’s my website, and because I can. In truth, I can’t really play the thing anymore. I made the mistake of putting it down for way to long in my mid-twenties when life got in the way. When I came to pick it back up I found that my fingers didn’t remember the chords and my hands move too slow.
One day I may have the time to re-learn, but for now I’m happy with the days when the mood takes me and I discover that I can still play a certain song. But the guitar has always felt like a part of me. It’s done a lot of travelling and seen me through many dark times. It really does feel like my trusty steed.
Oh, and it can scream.
