The Blade Himself

BERJAYASorry for the quiet around here lately. It's been Deadline City. But I'm pulling my nose out of Word long enough to pass along a cool bit of comics news: I've written a one-shot, X-Men: Curse of the Mutants: Blade #1, that ties into this crazy new X-Men series Victor Gischler is writing. The issue's not out until August, but you can read Vaneta Rogers' story about it over at Newsarama.

Very cool, Duane. Nice artwork, too! You even like Blade: Trinity? While I absolutely love the first two in the series (Guillermo Del Toro's second being my favorite), I'm a little disappointed with the third. Still, I agree that it's hard not to envision Snipes when talking about Blade. I look forward this one-shot come August. Thanks.

I agree -- BLADE: TRINITY isn't exactly CITIZEN KANE. But I had fun with it.

I generally don't like anything involving vampires (even before Twilight), but I picked up Gischler’s "Death of Dracula" and loved it. Now I'm really looking forward to all of the "Curse of the Mutants" stuff.

His story sort of read like a Mafia gathering. It was great.

I am very excited about your Black Widow ideas.
Cannot wait to read more about it.
...and some preliminary sketches by Mr. Garcia would be awesome too.
Best.
