Yes, you could say we’re scared ~ scared of the destruction you are bringing about to our country. It’s not because we “can’t think clearly”. No, Sir! We can see as clear as day that what you have in mind is to grab power and money off the backs of hard-working Americans and our children and their children. And in your despicable power grab, we are losing our precious Liberty. That will not do - at all.
It is you who are incapable of clear thinking, while you live in your delusional world as you wish it to be.
You are so used to all your non-thinking automatons just blindly following your dire emergencies and crisis, that you really have no idea that there are many, many people out there who do think for themselves and can see right through your falsehoods and hypocrisy.
According to Teh One, “The Empire is striking back”. (The Leader of the free world uses a Star Wars analogy? Well, I guess his supporters are at least capable of understanding a fictional movie line. )
His arrogance is only matched by his complete disconnect from all that makes America exceptional.

We have a choice - to live in a country where the government serves us (I prefer this choice) or one where we work for the government.
Right now, there are tight races going on all around the country (Yeah, a lot of folks really, really don’t like what you’re doing to our country there, Slick) — a lot of them are going to be determined by a couple hundred voters. Whether those couple hundred fall on our side is an outcome that is in our control, right now. (Oh heck, if that fails, you can always find a few hundred absentee ballots in a car trunk. No worries.)
Today, we’re launching a huge Day of Action called “Change by the Million.” On the doorsteps and on the phones, supporters like you across the country are teaming up to reach out to 1 million voters before the day is over. (Just what we all love on a Saturday - a call from some little obamabot who can’t answer the simple question of “why”? Just try to knock on my door…)
With our call tool, thousands of us will be joining in from wherever we are — from a coffee shop, from our desks, from our kitchens. (And basements. Don’t forget the basement dwellers. Gee, what do you have against your basement dwellers?) Republicans think the deal is sealed. They’re rubbing their hands together, looking at the big dollars being spent by shadowy groups and special interests, thinking that’s what it takes to win elections this fall. (Ooooh, scary stuff - just made up for your benefit. Even have the Prez saying it.)
But for all the big money and negative ad campaigns they’ve been pumping into districts around the country, there’s still one thing they can’t factor in — you. (Neither can you apparently, as was seen on college campuses around the country - yawn.) We know the conversations we have on these calls inspire folks to action — plain and simple. We’re already reaching out to hundreds of thousands of voters every day — but it’s time to up the ante. (Yes, they really think of this as a game.)
In 2008, we saw it over and over again. Those previously unengaged in their local races got involved. Those who were planning on staying home turned out. And for many races, these calls made the difference between winning and losing. (Especially the dead voters. Oh! and Mickey Mouse!)
We can do it again — and the thousands of supporters making calls and knocking doors around the country, right now, certainly know we can do it again, too.

A tug of war over defense spending this week harbingers budget conflicts to come as the irresistible force of rising military costs meets the immovable object of growing fiscal deficits
Not surprising the Dems are going after Defense - just think of all that money they can’t use for government-run entitlement programs or their pet projects.
I’d love to see the US tell all those countries who bad mouth us as we carry them and give them security, that they’d better get it together and carry their own load ~ we’re done with that. Not that that will happen. But it would be priceless to see their faces when they realize they need to defend their own countries.
Yet, someone has to protect the blithering idiots around this world. Unfortunately, we seem to be joining them in their idiocy. This could end very badly.
Strong Defense/Limited Government ~ Two concepts absolutely abhorrent to the left side of the aisle, and far too many on the right.
Instead of just going after our defense, how about taking on all those government programs that aren’t in our government’s job description, which can be found in our Constitution.
As November 2nd draws closer the gloves are starting to come off and protests are starting to hit the streets. Just recently Sharron Angle was visited by some protestors outside of her headquarters. Liberty.com documented and interviewed these protestors to see their stance on the Tea Party candidate.
It is our money Reid is talking about, as Angle pointed out, and he just can’t seem to get that fact in his little head. He says they have to dig the country out of the hole they find themselves in and that means more money taken, hell, stolen, from each and every one of us who make enough money to have to pay taxes. (To the 40% in this country who don’t have to pay taxes: you’re welcome.) Well, who got us in this hole?? Ummm, who holds the purse strings in the government? Why yes, that would be the Congress.
We have a choice here. Take the easy way out and let the government take our productive citizens’ money (at least until it runs out) so we can get all the governments goodies they choose to vote to hand out to us or tell the career politicians in our government to go to hell and vote for people who not only know what’s in our Constitution, but believe in it.
(You’d think after a gazillion years on Capital Hill, Reid wouldn’t have to muck around looking for his closing statement thoughts among all his papers there….)
The first choice leads to a major loss of the freedom to live our lives as we see fit, without the government breathing down our necks, keeping us on the edge of financial insecurity and telling us how to raise our kids, what to eat, what to drive, where to live and what to think.
The second choice leads to our God-given freedom to be responsible for our own lives, make our own choices, work hard and keep the fruits of OUR labor, taking the failures along with the successes and grow as a nation.
This choice leads to exceptionalism.
The other choice leads to mediocrity and poverty ~ for all.
So get out there on Nov. 2 and VOTE!

Less than three weeks until the elections and whoo boy, the fur’s starting to really fly now. Those on the left side of the aisle and those who are career politicians on both sides of the aisle running for office are showing their true colors and it isn’t pretty. Why, we’re almost back to standards of the good ol’ days in the 19th century when election campaigns were full of lies and treachery.
It always amuses me when I hear people speak of their disappointment that their candidates of choice, when elected, fail to deliver on their campaign promises. Campaign promises should never be believed ~ those running will say anything to get elected (especially those who have multiple terms under their belts). After all, that is their #1 priority - not the folks who elected them. You might as well believe in the Tooth Fairy.

Ambrosia, United States Army, for gallantry in actions while serving as Executive Officer, Company A, 2d Battalion (Airborne), 503d Parachute Infantry Regiment, 173d Airborne Brigade Combat Team, in action in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, in Afghanistan, on 25 - 26 September 2007. First Lieutenant Ambrosia’s gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself, his unit, and the United States Army. NARRATIVE TO ACCOMPANY AWARD: On 25 September 2007, Able Company, 2d Battalion (Airborne), 503d Infantry air assaulted into the village of Qowru and conducted a search and attack through the village and surrounding caves in order to disrupt Taliban and Al Qaeda forces in the Watapor Valley. The Company Executive Officer, First Lieutenant Ambrosia air assaulted into OP REDSKINS, one of two company observation posts (OP’s) overlooking Qowru, in order to establish a command radio relay station and overwatch the mounted assault element in the valley with 60-mm. indirect fire. Upon occupation, ICOM intercepts informed the OP that the enemy was mobilizing and massing for an attack on both company OP’s and the mounted maneuver element in the valley. Immediately upon insertion, the 22 Soldiers of 1st Platoon which assaulted OP REDSKINS linked up and moved towards their position overlooking the valley. There were explosions and shots fired across the valley during the night, but no fires were directed at OP REDSKINS. By morning the OP observed the rest of the Company move into position and begin their search and attack through the valley. A fire team plus-sized element of Anti-Coalition Militia was maneuvering to high ground to the east of the company when they made contact with the position at OP REDSKINS. The first individual that came close to the OP was an enemy scout. The individual was engaged immediately and within minutes several of the ACM fighters engaged the observation post with an intense volume of fire. Without any hesitation, First Lieutenant Ambrosia immediately assessed the situation and reported to the Company Commander who was located down in the valley and by this time under fire as well. He gave the enemy situation and without any concern for his own safety remained in place while exposed to heavy enemy fire from ACM forces advancing on his position to within hand grenade range. He continued directing fires and making critical radio transmissions using both FM and TACSAT communication. His timely and accurate calls for 40-mm. and 81-mm. danger close fire were the only effective defense for the OP. While the rest of the element were throwing hand grenades and engaged in close combat with a flanking ACM force, First Lieutenant Ambrosia held his position under heavy direct fire during the 4 hours of the engagement without deviating from his radio transmissions. He requested fire missions, using three different indirect fire assets and close air support simultaneously. First Lieutenant Ambrosia’s strong character gave him the tools he needed to repel the enemy attack. First Lieutenant Ambrosia’s indirect fire was able to hold the enemy front, which allowed the rest of the OP to fight back the enemy’s attempt to turn their flank. First Lieutenant Ambrosia continued providing covering fire simultaneously as he had to make corrections on the 500 pound bombs dropped all within danger close. He gave the Battalion Commander updates of the enemy and friendly situations as they developed. He continued to hold his position even though he was constantly exposed to close heavy enemy fire. First Lieutenant Ambrosia kept keeping Close Combat Air updated on the enemy’s location allowing the AH-64 (Apache) to effectively engage and kill three ACM fighters. Despite constant signal intercepts suggesting advancing and flanking maneuver forces, his ability to continue setting the tactical conditions gave the Non-Commissioned Officers and all junior leaders the ability to maneuver their Paratroopers. First Lieutenant Ambrosia’s actions throughout the entire engagement were of the highest degree of valor. He performed honorably while under direct enemy fire and effectively engaged the enemy under the most difficult circumstances. First Lieutenant Ambrosia was a key leader during the battle, providing true leadership to the entire element. Even when events became dire, he kept his demeanor and without hesitation took the fight to the enemy. His actions are the true embodiment of the Infantry Warrior Ethos.
