Sean Hannity interviewed Rush Limbaugh on Wednesday night and the conservative king of talk radio had plenty to criticize about the excitement surrounding President Obama's inauguration.

Saying he was "suspicious" of Obama, Limbaugh said the facial expressions of Obama supporters were "frightening" and slammed Republicans who've expressed hope that Obama succeeds:

"They're drinking the Kool-Aid... they're afraid of being called racists."

Limbaugh claims that Obama's race doesn't matter to him now that he's president, oddly comparing Obama's being black to being a Martian:

"He's not black. He's not from Mars."

But Limbaugh goes on to say that if Obama behaves more like Reagan - extending the Bush-era tax cuts - than FDR, he will consider the new president "a success."

Are Republicans scared of Rush. It sure seems that way. Is he the leader of the Republican party or just a talking head. More like Pinky and the Brain hour is what I just watched.

Why does Rush Limbaugh and Al Qaida hate Obama? Oh I know, they are both anti-American extremists.
07:17 PM on 1/25/2009
The author of this article is a bit of bozo. Rush didn't "oddly compare him to a martian". The author totally misses Rush's point which was that all that matters now is that Obama is president, not his skin color. Unless of course, the author thinks his skin color will make him more or less effective as a president???? Rush doesn't care, and neither do those of us who will be watching the cult leader very carefully.

The article was right on point. I guess you are one of Rush's lu.natic followers.

Rush IS right! He is our man and should run for office. Take our party by the horns, Rush! Who else can put Obama on the defensive as he has? Obama is showing his arrogant ,cocky colors and if our panzy elected offcials don't have the guts to stand up to Obama, we must seek out people like Rush or Rush himself over the next 4 years.

I wonder if Sean and Rush have a secret relationship (you know what I mean). Both are equally unpatriotic and way, way out of the mainstream.

Limbaugh, Hannity, Coulter and the like are simply jealous. They're out, and they're going to be out for years to come. But they are not the issue, their listeners are. Who will the listeners follow? Rush or Newt? they should be ignored until they have real ideas to discuss and not more personal attacks.

I guess you should be proud of that intelligent statement? If licking is something people should do, then what should Obama lick?

Hannity loves Rush's man-breasts and Rush loves Hannity's reach-around.

I believe that most of these so-called "right-wing pundits", such as Coulter, O'Reilly, most of Fox news (including that other blonde ding-bat)are geared toward a target audience of misinformed conservatives and hate-mongering extremists and it has turned out to be a lucrative marketing scheme. I think the broadcasts and their reporting is contrived especially for this class of people. I feel that Hannity and Limbaugh are hate-mongering extremists whose views are largely irrelevant, but in the tenuous minds of some, these views can have a dangerous effect. Why does Rush Limbaugh even have a show anymore? I thought he lost his credibility some years back.

The truth be told, I starting to associate and identify Limbaugh and Hannity as the modern day grand Duke and wizard of all the white supremacy groups. They spread so much hatred towards President Obama, that If He ( Obama) should be harm by anyone listening to their rhetoric, as well as, Coulter, Beck and O'Reilly to name a few of these commentators on the FOX channel, more particularly Limbaugh and Hannity. The country and world should hold them accountable for any harm which may be plotted or executed against President Obama. We need them to be remove permanently from the air wave and television. Furthermore, I don't hear and/or see them giving any of their million to help the people being poison by their bold hatred towards the president.
07:47 PM on 1/25/2009
"the truth be told"? As if that makes your stupid comments less stupid?

"Hatred" toward the president? As if you cared about the notion of "hatred toward the president"?
Let's see if you can say antying nice about George Bush???

Why do people like Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh hate America? What do they have against this country? I am sick of their anti-Americanism.

I wonder if their losers will finally become too embarrassed, now that his hypocrisy about criticism of "The President" is exposed as a mask for his extremist hate, and not as much a "core value" of his, as is his racism.

What a total waste of human DNA.

Uh, I meant to say, "their listeners." Honest, I did.

Okay, honestly, I meant to insult their listeners.

Rush Limbaugh, Anne Coulter and Shawn Hannity...all share things in common, they make millions spreading fear and hate, and suffer from a bad case of paranoia....all the while pretending they're journalists....as long as these right wingnuts continue to be the voice of the Republican party, there will always be a Democratic majority.
11:06 AM on 1/23/2009
Had you watched the interview you would have heard Rush say that Republicans who say that they "hope Obama suceeds" are endorsing his policies. President Obama has stated his policies very palinly during his campaign and they are not the policies that Rush or any other conservative believe in. So to wish him sucess would indicate that either he (Obama) has changed or you have changed. The headline used is strictly incendiary.
11:19 AM on 1/23/2009
No, the title is a direct quote from Rush and it wasn't taken out of context. Rush wants the president to fail which means he wants the country to be worse off than it is now.

I'm not sure how anyone other than a family member of Rush could defend any of his actions. He's a first class bigot and everything out of his mouth is negative. I don't hear any alternatives or anything positive that could make this country better. Instead I just hear a bunch of hate scented hot air.
03:29 PM on 1/23/2009
Is a conservative (or anyone) allowed to say that they support President Obama because he has been elected the President of my country, but I don't support his policies? Is this the CHANGE we've been hearing so much about?
