Yes when your a kid, I had no control of it........my father was government diplomat, in my first 15years on this earth, we loaded our bags and moved 14 times......all in different nations.......only 7 years that MN has been home, is the longest place I have lived in one place.........I will never do it to my own kids........To my unborn child! You will not move as much as your father did, that's a promise..........

Iraq's civil war nightmare

Its clear now, Iraq will never be one nation. The civil war many of us talked about is becoming reality. Right-wing America, how do you feel now?

This came as a shock to me, I thought burning churches had stopped in the 60's, were are we going? The raise of extreme groups have been growing up, especially anti-semitic. The government must not wait till these groups become violent, as the young man in NJ did few weeks ago.

University of Minnesota tuition has increased 81% in last 7 years...........I wonder what the future holds for this state.....And Washington have cut $ 18 billion from student loans, and access to higher education. I don't care who you vote for, but please for the sake of your kids, vote who ever will stand for higher education. 06 isn't a presidential election year, so I fear some may not vote, and it troubles me. I will be voting, are you?


I feel like newly divorced. Some where in my head, it says you need time off, need more time to get this, need more time to realize each year in life brings new challenges, and those of us who take advantage to what put in front of us are those who are true to themselves and are individuals in their own right, who do not follow winds of daily life. Some say, time controls us, we don't control it, if right, why does it seem I have control over what I do with it? Recently talking to her, I still think my relationship with her could have worked, may still work, now is on me than her, not ready to have her back.............I don't want to make the same mistakes I have made with her, or mistakes I have made on my first few years of college's social life ever again.........I know ever means, NOTHING.......

Benvenuto! Winter Games. I like the Summer Olympics, but this time is different. I know some of the players, and I have to pull for my Gopher Ladies. Led by captain Krissy Wendel, almost the whole starting US women's hockey team are present/former MN Golden Gophers....

Your the wife of the great one, Wayne Gretzky, what do you do with your money and free-time and the millions of dollars that your husband has made? How about gamling. Janet Jones the wife one of the most admired sport stars in our life time, get involved in NHL gambling probe that could overshadow Wayne's historic life.....I hope not. What's wrong with you women, and not finding good habit to entertain when he's not around?

Every time I see one of them starring at me, looking if I have a dollar to give, standing next to a ramp, street corner, or walking down the road, it remains me how fortunate you and me must be, to have a home, family, health, and most of all, people who care us. Why is this not our top agenda? I think it should be, no one is weaker than them. They all share the grimmy face, and uncleanness. Who Am I talking about? The homeless.

I wish the homeless people that I see almost every day going to school, or work, have name tags(Not the usual go Viking/twins sign) that would tell me, what their names are, who they were, or if they were Vietnam vets as many of them are homeless, where were they born, do they have/had children, where are there relatives, why in MN, and not in a better place like Miami or places little bit warm, where do they went to HS, or do they have higher education, where do they go when they feel sick, or don't they????????

I don't know what it will do for me, knowing all the answers above, but I think it would have made many others to see them as real people, instead of saying, walk, walk, just walk-away, or looking down on them. Many of us, learn in life that, we should help those that are homeless, giving aid to those who have less than us, is very important to most people, but I still don't see large effort or any one helping!

Friend once told me, who wants to help those who don't want to help themselves? It's unbelievable how wrong this is, because one thing that many don't understand is that, homelessness isn't a choice almost all of them are sick, have some kind of illness. They have MS, PTS, or are MENTALLY ILL. I haven't seen any one with these diseases helping themselves!! (May be some bloggers) If this is the case as it has been proved many times by doctors, why are we not helping them? Why not the state? Yes, in MN we have done better than many states that I have been to, but still it looks they grow and double their population every giving afternoon.

I don't have the answers to all of these, I know these people have to be helped, both by the state, federal government, and by us, and us.
