Hunting that Gives me the Creeps
By Gary Sorenson – I have been doing this hunting thing so long now that I didn’t think anything could come along and make me feel squirmy or uncomfortable. I distinctly remember the first time I put a knife to an animal and watched the steam rise from the carcass and felt the warmth of its insides on my hands and smelled the smells associated with it, I got a bit squeamish. It didn’t take long to figure out that we were no longer dealing with an animal but the preparation of meat, and all those kinds of feelings kind of disappeared.
