Texan ballot officials have accidentally sent out ballot papers with the Chilean national flag on it rather than the flag of Texas


For the past few years, at least, officials in Atascosa County, south of San Antonio, have been sending out absentee ballot packages that include a page with a flag proudly displayed in a wavy motion. The only trouble is, it's the Chilean flag, not the Texas flag. And it took a Ph.D. candidate to point it out. Troy Knudson , who is studying in Japan and registered to vote in Atascosa County, was the first to notice the mistake and alert officials. "Apparently the insert has been used for some time without anyone (voters and staff) noticing," he wrote in an e-mail. Answering alarm, Oakland police kill family dog
Mary Kate Hallock arrived at her Oakland hills home after running errands Tuesday and found a blue note fluttering on her front door. "Oakland police responded to your residence to investigate a burglar alarm," the handwritten note read. "While circling the rear perimeter, lab advanced on officers in a threatening manner before being shot and killed". "Lab" was Gloria, an 11-year-old, arthritic yellow Labrador Hallock's family had owned since she was a puppy. Mourner attends wrong Ron’s funeral
A grieving grandmother went to a funeral to pay her last respects to an old friend – then discovered he was alive and kicking. Margaret Griffiths, 74, read a funeral notice saying upholsterer Ron Jones had passed away. So she pulled on her dark coat for the funeral where she mingled with the Jones family mourners at Merthyr’s Tabernacle Church. Margaret returned home to tell a neighbour about Ron’s funeral but was told: “Ron’s still alive. I saw him yesterday”. Margaret said: “I told him ‘I’ve just been to your funeral’.I said I’d read that he’s died in the paper and that I wanted to pay my last respects to him. He was a bit surprised”. In Florida il 31-enne Daniel McDaniels visitava un amico quando i due hanno avvistato una puzzola e per spararle l'idiota ha caricato il fucile col calcio per terra dimenticando che c'era già un proiettile in canna. Purtroppo la ferita alla guancia sinistra non è stata letale.

Alla chiappa sinistra si è ferito invece il 52-enne Darrel Elam, di Snohomish County nello stato di Washington, nell'infilare la sua pistola nella tasca posteriore dei pantaloni. Insomma c'è poco da meravigliarsi di come gli americani siano bravi a fare i cartoni animati.

The man and woman were caught having sex on camera at a rural home at Washington state on Monday, when someone arrived to collect the mail while the homeowner was away, according to broadcaster KXRO-AM.
