So I have been gone from my cardboard box here under the overpass of the series of tubes for a bit so I thought I would try to type letters and form them into words that make, maybe, a bit of sense (or not ymmv)
While I know no one takes it personally I just have not felt like reading or typing (much less math ugh :) ) lately.
Looking back I think it is the time of year.
As the comment I just left on my good friends Lindas blog the sunny days of golf and hanging at the deck bar are quickly coming to an end plus MR. 49 is up in about 18 days.
I don't do change to well this time of year even though it's the same every freaking year.
So no book of the face lately. No reading y'alls blogs. No nutten honey when it came to the innertubes 'cause that's how I was feeling and I knew/know that when I was ready to type this y'all would be "cool the drunk maryland guy typed something honey grab the kids and gather around the "puting machine" LOL
But not to belabor a point THANKS to Linda for reminding how long I have been absent.
So here is what is up as the cool kids say.
My dad and sister just left yesterday after a 5 day visit. Just the three of us that are left from the original family of five.
I commented a lot before and during the trip as we all get older and kids go to college and people die/move/ or otherwise aren't around that time you get to spend like we had last week was really special.
Sheri and I had a several good talks about Michele and where we both were in the grieving process (conclusion we are both still pretty pissed off) and Dad was his typical Dad self. We all enjoyed each others company and it was very nice (ither than the bar tabs they stuck me with :) )
Now normally after taking a week off leading into October you think I would be done.
But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (to paraphrase Steve Martin)
Monday the 11th I am off to play some golf.
I made the error of assuming COMPANY Z who is my main client at work was off on Columbus Day. Seems to me they were worse than England in taking time off so I assumed they would not be there on Monday and I could golf in peace.
Turns out I was wrong. OOPPPS. Eh I'm sure they will survive without me for a day.
Of course 9 days later I take off for my usual birthday bash back to Ft. Worth.
I am just hoping my company and company Z dont start to realize they can live without me (that would be bad I really dont want to have to rent out Dad's dog run in the backyard to live in)
So there you have it. Nothing major going on just surviving like most of us are trying to do.
*****************************BUT WAIT*************************
There was one major update.
Saturday I did the normal cookout when I have family in town and J and M brought my lovely "nieces" (I say that because we aren't related by blood but by love) and Kate and Nat discovered two items in my house within their lovely reach.
Nat found DUTCH THE LUCKY MONKEY. Kate found SHAKY BACON! ZOMG
(imagine pics inserted here but the taplop and blogger aren't cooperating)
So it comes time to go home and the girls were all "I want the Dutch The Lucky Monkey I want the Bacon" and who was I to say no?
You know who I was? A very luck guy to have such wonderful nieces who I Love so much and who appear to love me too!
okay now done with typing letters into words. love y'all
Oh shiny! An end to comment purgatory

I'm sensing some burnout from a lot of bloggers, myself included.
I'm glad you had a good time with your family. Seize those moments, right?
It was awfully sweet of you to share your stuffed friends.
Yay! A long awaited post from my kindred friend. Yes, email is the way to go. I just missed hearing about you and your life. Blogging is hard especially when you have a boring life like mine and I'm not much of a writer. We can't all be like Lisa and the other great blog writers out there.
I am happy the family visit went well. I was surprised you gave up Dutch. But he will be hugged and loved and isn't that what we all need?
Let's keep in touch like you said. I miss Bob's fireside chats.
Love ya, Linda
Glad to hear you had a good time with family! Glad to hear anything at all from you!! Have fun golfing.... (You never e-mailed or callled??????) :-( I won't take it personally unless you tell me I should??!!
Missed you terribly. And fully understand how Dutch got away from you. Just to hard to say no - - I lost 2 little kitties that way.
Keep smilin' - we luv ya!
Grannie
Hi, hon!
Guess we'll need to find you a new friend.
I was wondering where you've been.
:)
